@OldGamerUK @confidencenac I know she does; you told us, but she is on the old state pension so that's why she gets pension credit. She gets the full care package because she needs it. A lot don't because they don't know how to get it and don't have family support. Many are struggling and aren't all rich.

When did this country, especially on the left, become so ignorant and cruel that it begrudges a Granny a yearly pension amount of £12.5k? Take a hike!

@andie52 @confidencenac She gets way more than £12.5k We help her daily and she has a full care package There is plenty of help out there for pensioners

@OldGamerUK @confidencenac If she's 90 she's on the lower state pension, hence pension credit (look it up) so doesn't get £12,500. Would you rather she froze to death and had no help (attendance allowance pays for that and is only awarded to those who need help with daily/nightly tasks) .. do you help her?

@OldGamerUK only those vulnerable get extra help. It’s not a lot to live on if you still pay rent which is why selling off social housing is a great idea. No mortgage no rent and then £12500 is manageable. Just.

@confidencenac No, any pensioner can claim extra benefits. Age related get automatically added too If you are claiming state pension you can claim housing and council tax benefits State pension is very manageable the issue is more pensioners not knowing what they can claim

@robertgraham Been using a HP and smart ink sub for years with no issues I pay less than a set of inks retail for a years worth of printing and never have to order carts myself

@GaryBri99293774 “Demanding”?? Excuse me? NI contributions from every working individual goes towards their eventual state pension. They pay in and they expect to get a ‘payout’ eventually once they retire. They are not ‘demanding’, they are ‘expecting’ what is owed to them.

A lot of people don’t seem to realise they’re going to be old too someday. Do they think they’re immune to ageing? I’d love to be a fly on the wall when it’s their turn to be ‘pensioners’ and they have to read all the callous “selfish old farts” comments. Karma may take a long time but it never forgets an address.
