Both the twin tunnels open directly into residential zones. The intersections on both ends are not design to withstand the traffic influx. There is a high chance it will get congested soon after opening. And this will also give rise to emission levels in the area. To avoid this, they need to work on improving those intersections and making them non signalised.

@Live_Well_Thee @VishalBhargava5 Given the population demographics this is NOT a feeder system. One of the biggest idiocacy going on but you know where the kickbacks are going to go

I would somewhat disagree even though your views are good and reasonable mostly.. Not sure about that particular route but such feeder systems are need of the hour in congested locations Just hoping they execute with priority and quality - monorail is a good example of a much needed project on that route but somewhat poor execution - have used it a few times..

Ladies and gentlemen: India’s most moronic infrastructure project is happening. The pod-taxi in Mumbai - from Kurla to BKC. ₹1000 cr project. Service of 8.85km. Fare per passenger: ₹21/km. We need to rid ourselves of the delusion that it has anything to do with infrastructure

@IAmSagarSalvi @bhs7rocks @mumbaiheritage The 1950s topography maps under the property of University of Texas shows these railway lines. It was online a few years ago. Have to check whether they are still publicly available

Mumbai’s current airport once had a railway line passing through where it exists today ! There existed a direct railway line from Kurla to Andheri which started from Trombay and went to Andheri via Kurla and via the land which is today part of Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji maharaj international Airport. It was known as the Salsette-Trombay railway. It passed through/had stations at Wadavali, Mahul road,Kurla, Agre road (presently LBS marg) then went via CST road towards Santacruz with halts at Kolovery and Kole-Kalyan and then finally towards Andheri with halts at Sahar and Chakala. That railway line started in 1928 and ended in 1934 to build the airport. Though a railway line from Mahul’s oil refineries to Kurla still exists today which may or may not be a part of that original Salsette-Trombay railway line.

I’ve been on the Delhi Mumbai Expressway. Some parts are so bad that it will make a competent engineer hide in shame. When history is written, BJP’s greatest failure will be burning tons of money for shabby infra. And killing the spirit of every infra-enthusiast in India.

Traffic is increasing day by day! Company says: You still need to come to office daily. Office cafeteria is giving very limited food due to LPG supply! Company says: You still need to come to office daily. Employees are coming on time as per login hours, but there is no parking. Company says: Parking is first come, first serve. Park anywhere. But one thing is clear - No matter the problem, you still need to come to office daily.

The real reason corporate India hates WFH has nothing to do with productivity or collaboration. The truth is that a massive chunk of Indian corporate management derives its sense of self-worth not from output but from the ability to summon people, make them sit in traffic for 2 hours, and then micromanage them in person. WFH doesn't just save commute costs, it exposes how many "managers" are just babysitters with fancier titles who add zero value when they can't physically loom over your desk.
Namita 🙏🇮🇳💖@NamitaJaiHind

Boomers hate WFH policy for the freedom, flexibility, and cost save it gives you. Even if you WFH, meet all your targets they will still want you at office 3 days a week to ensure that Cafeteria, cabs, real estate mafia, security agencies are in use. Please continue to go to office.

Three of my earliest cricket memories are all from 1996: • Venkatesh Prasad doing this to Aamir Sohail • An inconsolable Vinod Kambli at the Eden Gardens • Srinath and Kumble's batting partnership vs Aus in the Titan Cup What is your earliest cricket memory?

I am travelling from Vizag to Hyderabad in Vande Bharat train. One guy got in fight with the catering services for not serving Non Vegetarian Food. He said that non veg is his default, only for the catering service guy asking him to confirm it on his ticket. His ticket said Veg Apparently if you book the Vande Bharat train at the last moment Tatkal, they can only serve you vegetarian food. @IRCTCofficial can we not fix this ? Most Indians are non vegetarians, if they book tickets at the last moment, they should get food of their preference

Back in 2010, a very close friend ended up with a job with an FMCG giant. The kind of company people dream about, the kind that gets SRK and whole of actresses to sell soap. His package was over 20lacs back in the day. That’s under 1yr out of B school. The program was to send young grads to rural markets for them to learn the tricks of the trade. He ended up in Korba for first 3 months. Such was the mental trauma, he left the job when his next posting came (north Bengal) and joined an IT company at 11lac CTC. Today he is on his way to green card but boy the amount of free counselling everyone gave him to not leave this FMCG giant. Korba broke him

Wandering the streets of Airoli (came for Famingo spotting, but that opens at 9 am). Saw this large open ground (a luxury I say) and the two players. Asked to join in, got entry by fielding. After some running, got my chance at batting. This was my moment. First ball miss. Second ball, right off the meat of the bat, that childhood feeling of the perfect connect, boom a clean hit beyond the grounds. Third ball, the bowler is now taking me seriously..man the pace has gone up 2 notches now! One ball miss lands on my right thigh, quite close to danger. I realise, no more adventure. I play two more - one defence, one cover drive (not the best connect). Hand over the bat, and off to my strolling the streets of Airoli again. Thank you for the batting gentlemen.
