Earlier this morning, my parents and i went to my girlfriend’s house to visit her parents and especially to apologize for impregnating their daughter. Although it wasn’t intentional, it has already happened, and i didn’t deny it bcos i truly loves her and ready to marry her....

Big Badda@Badda_isBig
I met my girlfriend, Eniola, when i was in 100LV at UNILAG. We started dating in January last year, and we loved each other deeply. We were so close that we sometimes bath and ate together, and during holidays she would stay with me without her parents knowing. As time went on...

@naija2ic @Badda_isBig "Kidnapping" as how
When did an adult leaving with another becomes kidnapping
She chose to stay and she was free to go at anytime
English

@Badda_isBig Oga, under law, what you did is Kidnapping. Immediately you confirm she’s pregnant you first need to meet with her parent, perhaps her mum to register her consent that she’s aware Eniola is in your custody. If they arrest you, you go chop free beans. Ignorance is not law excuse.
English

@sunnyirawo @FlorenceFu60424 @Badda_isBig You be idiot. What if something happened to the girl while staying with him, how will he explain?

@ThePeoplesClaim @DanielRegha The citizens that tracked them down on the street can't report them?
The main issue is the violence/jungle justice instead of handing them over to the authorities to do what's necessary
English

@DanielRegha If someone is not documented how do you go about arresting them please tell us ... how do you track them down? Where do you even find them? What trail do you have? ... why is the only problem people see the reaction to the crime but not the criminal.
English

South African president instead of outrightly condemning the xenophobic attacks, is busy talking about expatriates respecting the laws of the country. Legal or not, such act isn't something that should be watered down for any reason. If anyone is living in SA illegally, the authorities should be allowed to do their jobs, and not citizens taking matters into their own hands and acting as the law themselves, targeting anyone who isn't a South African.
You can not talk of a nation "that defeated colonialism and apartheid" but be show hatred towards other Africans. That's hypocrisy.
English

@ZuluDlaminee @feziledhlamini_ So violent that you didn't realize he was joking, he is obviously not in Abuja.
He is passing a message that Nigerians should stay in their country.
English

@feziledhlamini_ From another Dlamini, fuck you we don’t want you here. We are fixing our country and we don’t need assholes like you at this time.
SA comes first! SAns next, then everything and everybody else, including you Dlamini ndini
English

@jazzdude51 @GoodWomanHealth @LagosJoburgHQ @afrisagacity Looks like they won't even find out if you have one before harassing you
English

@GoodWomanHealth @LagosJoburgHQ @afrisagacity Having a passport doesn't mean you "deserve" free health-care...the is no country in the world that permits that delusion. When you visit another country, it is mandatory according to the law to have health insurance. Hope that clears it for you

@Heal_within96 This is the internalized feeling of cultural or ethnic inferiority. It’s the belief that the colonizer's culture, language, and skin are superior. In this mindset, shunning other Africans is a way to distance oneself from the "backwardness" the colonizer taught them to hate.

@funshographix @SaheedAso "It's only in Lagos"
Where did you even get this from
English

@SaheedAso South Africans are not living in Nigeria. It's only few ghanans are living in Nigeria and it's only in Lagos.
English

@LeratoMorule7 @OgbeniDemola Agreed, but is violence the answer?
No court to prosecute them?
English

@OgbeniDemola Dont talk shit br realistic tell your government to open borders. As long as there's borders in AFRICA is only fair to have proper documents please stop that bullshit of making us bad people we can't accept undocumented foreigners to qork here for a simple reason
English

@taiwo_shalom @keletso_mashile Of course, the failure goes both ways. I never said Nigeria’s government is better, we endure so much daily. But is violence against illegal immigrants okay just because the judiciary to prosecute them isn't working? That is the basis of my argument.
English

I understand that part can definitely be done in a better way, but let's be honest, which African government is working properly right now? Would there have been so many illegal immigrants if we had a working government in both Nigeria and South Africa? If the government here were working, no illegal immigrant would cross the border for sure. That is one thing I commend Botswana for, even if its strictness can go overboard. Botswana would even call to let you know your stay in their country is almost ending. That's how strict they are.
And if Nigeria were not failing, would people even want to leave? I can assure you, almost no one would leave except those who want to tour other countries only. Only for touring but no relocation.
So the failures go both ways; we can't blame it on one country. Our African governments are failing us, Simple.
English

@CalvinMapholoba @odedanilo Well, you could always buy an Air conditioner.
English

@taiwo_shalom @keletso_mashile I think it is about how they act violently towards the illegal immigrants, maiming them while stealing the opportunity to loot their properties.
You can't treat them the way you would treat a murderer, unless they are.🤷🏾♂️
Don't they have a working judiciary system?
English

😮💨 I feel it's high time sensible Nigerians talk. Because, as a Nigerian who's here legally, this is a tough situation.
I can promise you that I have not seen a Legal Nigerian in South Africa make rude comments. Most of those posting on Social media have either never been to South Africa or are illegal or do not work honestly for money.
Most of the Nigerians who study here are lecturers, and they do honest work. Even I, as a Nigerian here, would never hang out with just any Nigerian.
It's not just about South Africa; in any part of the world, every country has its laws and regulations, and it should be common knowledge to know what should be done and not done. If I were to go to another country, I would of course check what people in the area I'm in like or don't like before I travel. I feel most don't do that and see every space as a free land, which is very bad.
The problem we have is that the loudest ones are those who do not follow the rules and regulations.
So please 🥲 when you meet a Nigerian, please ask for their profession and if they're legal, because most of us have been here for years legally, studied here, and never committed crimes.
And I agree on one thing, Nigeria needs to be fixed, yet I know that if Nigerians protest for a better Nigeria, most will end up being killed by the government; it has happened before, so it's a double-edged sword.
