@RevoSoccer26 @JohnSmithig0n @doldanmat Haalands physicality is a bar raiser for his ceiling and he uses it incredibly well but his true value is in his ability to strike a ball and eye for goal, which are 2nd to none. He could be 5’10 and run 3/4 as quick and he would still be one of the most valuable players on earth

@nolapivon @altparadisus @dannolan On the very first day of the offensive you bombed and killed over 100 school girls. Do you also understand how Irans revolution even started? A democratically elected pm dared to nationalise their oil so you overthrew him as it hurt your pockets and placed an idiot monarch in

@altparadisus @dannolan Yes finally 47 years later. That wasn’t even soldiers either at the embassy. They targeted innocent people. We didn’t. Massive difference. They also killed many of our soldiers during GWOT. Why would care about your opinion when you have America enough to side with Iran?

The United States opposes any efforts to incorporate European preference in the EU Defense Procurement Directive. We fully support European rearmament and a revitalization of the European defense industrial base.  However, European preference in the Directive would undermine member state flexibility to make national procurement purchases, hinder European rearmament efforts, create barriers for Allies reaching NATO capability targets, and run counter to European commitments in the 2025 U.S.-EU Joint Statement on trade and Reciprocal Defense Procurement Agreements. Our full statement here: ec.europa.eu/info/law/bette…

@MustacheDLuffy @twixstyy @FanofNoOneV1 @PanthersOwnNFL That’s where the duality lies, fast pace is rewarded if you get the turnover, if you play against a team who favours strict possession those turnovers are lessened in the first place, but there are very few teams with the ability to maintain possession like that in the world

@MustacheDLuffy @twixstyy @FanofNoOneV1 @PanthersOwnNFL Zone coverages is the basis of modern soccer yes, but man-to-man is still utilised by teams in games. Liverpool used it in the Champions league this year against Real Madrid and won. I agree basketball is closer, even simply by the fact that you have 1 singular team for o and d

@Ollatvv @twixstyy @FanofNoOneV1 @PanthersOwnNFL Soccer isn’t foreign to zone coverages. I think soccer is more like basketball than football since you can’t pass the ball forward beyond where the play started and you can’t pass the ball backward without risking a turnover in a sport where possession control is more important

@MustacheDLuffy @twixstyy @FanofNoOneV1 @PanthersOwnNFL I would say most modern high level soccer is played transitionally, there tends to be a lot of gaps when possession turns over and the team is transitioning from offensive structure to defensive allowing for space to be abused, and who does it best wins

@MustacheDLuffy @twixstyy @FanofNoOneV1 @PanthersOwnNFL It is not too dissimilar to soccer, there’s many ways to defend which the offensive team have to react to, low/mid/high block, man-to-man/flat back all with different formations affecting them, people have made a living writing thesis’ on them which I would just do injustice

@MustacheDLuffy @twixstyy @FanofNoOneV1 @PanthersOwnNFL Ya if you can’t really interact with other players directly there isn’t really a way to actively create space, but the thought process around space is still maintained even past that just through the denial of space through percentages

@Ollatvv @twixstyy @FanofNoOneV1 @PanthersOwnNFL You’re not creating space which you do have a point every sport that has contact has that but you can’t really know where the ball itself is going to be hit and sometimes the ball is unfieldable as well

@MustacheDLuffy @twixstyy @FanofNoOneV1 @PanthersOwnNFL You typed a lot of nothing, the basis of all team sports at a high level is using “techniques” to create space, soccer does this by receiving the ball in various spaces and runs in behind to drag players out of position that can be either exploited by themselves or teammates.

@Ollatvv @twixstyy @FanofNoOneV1 @PanthersOwnNFL How easy it is to score depends on the sport and its objective really. That won’t change but how easy it is through fouls and rules can. If football allowed you to commit defensive interference and holding then it’d be a lot harder to score

@MustacheDLuffy @twixstyy @FanofNoOneV1 @PanthersOwnNFL The goals in hockey are a literal 10th of the size to counter it. The infrequency of scoring is important as it allows for one large hit of endorphins, something you can’t achieve in high and many scoring sports where you get it in little hits here or there.

@twixstyy @FanofNoOneV1 @PanthersOwnNFL The whole point of the sport is to score. You don’t even have to be good at it but if there was more shots on goal the sport would be more interesting to watch. No way there should be 5 times as many shots on goal in a sport like hockey (known for lack of scoring)
