This three players will play better than Palmer did today if given the chance. Palmer should go and get a surgery, we are tired of him using injury as an excuse for his bad form. If we are really not COLE PALMER FC THEN HE SHOULD BE BENCHED TILL NEXT AND THAT'S IF HE IMPROVES, IF NOT HE SHOULD BE SOLD

Xavi Hernández’s side maintain that Chelsea FC have made a formal approach and that he’s open to taking a job in England. But from Chelsea’s end, it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere right now. The club are focusing on other targets — with Xabi Alonso, Marco Silva, and Andoni Iraola all being seriously considered — while Xavi, at this stage, is not part of the plan moving forward. (@JacobsBen) There’s a bit of confusion around the Xavi Hernández and Chelsea FC situation right now. From Xavi’s side, it sounds like there’s been some kind of approach and he’d actually be open to coming to England. So clearly, he’s not shutting the door on it, the interest is there. But when you look at Chelsea’s side, it tells a different story. They don’t seem ready to take it any further. Instead, they’re focusing on other managers like Xabi Alonso, Marco Silva, and Andoni Iraola, who are all being seriously considered. So right now, it just feels like one side is open, but the other isn’t fully convinced. And that pretty much sums it up, they’re not just looking for a big name, they’re looking for a fit within their system. As things stand, Xavi looks like an option that’s been considered, but not one they’re ready to commit to. #CFC

Right now, there’s a lot of noise linking Xavi Hernández to Chelsea FC, but let’s not get carried away, nothing is close yet. Chelsea are clearly looking at different options because things aren’t working, and Xavi is one of the names in the conversation. The interesting part is that he’s not desperate for the job. If anything, he’s cautious. He’s looking at Chelsea and probably asking himself if this is actually a stable project or just another risky situation. If you really look at it from a football angle, the link to Xavi Hernández actually makes sense for Chelsea FC. This is a squad with quality, but no real direction, it feels like a bunch of talented players without a clear way of playing. That’s where Xavi comes in. His teams are built on control, structure, and owning the midfield, and when you think about players like Enzo Fernández, Moisés Caicedo, and Cole Palmer, it just fits. They’re the type of players who need a proper system around them, not this chaos. But then reality kicks in. Xavi isn’t the kind of manager that just walks into anything — he wants control, he wants clarity, and he wants to be the one leading the football side. That’s not really how Chelsea are set up right now. Too many voices, too many decisions being shared, and not enough authority given to the manager. Add the Premier League into it — fast, physical, ruthless — and it’s not exactly the easiest place to come and “figure things out” over time. So in the next few days, don’t expect anything crazy. Chelsea will keep looking, Xavi will keep thinking, and nothing will happen unless he’s fully convinced. And that’s really the big question here — not whether Chelsea want Xavi, but whether Chelsea, as they are right now, are good enough off the pitch to convince someone like him.

🚨 On Chelsea players losing bonuses, a source said: “It’s mad if any of the players have downed tools because they’re hurting themselves. Chelsea players don’t have the guarantee of big basic wages like some of the other top clubs, and they get big bonuses for the Champions League. So to chuck that away is literally throwing money away.” (@Matt_Law_DT) #CFC

So this morning it was said Chelsea were considering Xavi for the managerial role. Now it’s being said Chelsea won’t be proceeding with Xavi lmao. Did we just get rejected by any chance?

Xavi Hernandez side insist Chelsea have made a formative approach and is open to a move to England. However, my understanding is Chelsea are not expected to proceed. Xabi Alonso, Marco Silva and Andoni Iraola all under serious consideration and Xavi, for now, ruled out by Chelsea.

🚨 Perhaps one of the reasons why Chelsea’s standards have dropped is that no one who set those standards is around the first team setup now. John Terry has a part-time role acting as a mentor in the academy, and that is about it. (@SJohnsonSport & @liam_twomey) #CFC
