#Recap #Recovery #TrafficManagement In the wee hours of today, a container fell off its trailer at Moshalashi enroute to Idi-Oro in the Mushin area of Lagos, causing untold hardship, traffic-wise, for motorists and road users on their way to their various places of work. The Rescue team of the First-Born of the Lagos State Government, LASTMA (@followlastma) swung into action, led by Director, Incident Management, Compliance and Enforcement, Mr Hakeem Adeoshun, mobilizing necessary resources to ensure a quick, smooth, and seamless recovery and evacuation operation. Within a short time, the evacution processwas complete, and the road opened to traffic flow. Once again, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, led by its indefatigable General Manager, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, has proved its mettle as the number one in traffic management, recovery, and evacuation of impediments that can cause untold harm to commercial activities in the 5th Largest Economy in Africa. #FunsoWilliams #Update #IncidentReport #IncidentManagement At about 3:50 p.m. today, the 16th of January, 2026, a Cement-Laden truck broke down just after Alaka (by Maldini Marbles) inwards Stadium, taking up a lane on the main Carriage Way, and impeding free-flowing traffic. This breakdown occurred at about the same time the PMS Laden tanker lost its stub on the Eko Bridge inwards Costain. Our men along that zone who seemed to be stretched, mobilized men and resources to this location and ascertained the problem, and activated safety measures, ensuring the safety of other motorists coming through that route. The Digital Media and Communications team of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority activated their aerial resources at the location to ensure the situation was well managed and under control. At about 4:50pm., the truck was towed off the location, and traffic, which had backed up to the Alaka bridge, receded in a short time. Once again, the trajectory the Agency has been aligned with, steered by the S.A. to the Governor on Transportation, Hon.
