My year in solitary confinement has not broken me. My peaceful fight for Baloch rights in Pakistan goes on I’ve reflected on why our peaceful protests are treated as a threat, when nonviolent political engagement is the very foundation of a democratic society. Resistance is often the path to justice, and such movements should not be suppressed. When a state turns its power against human rights groups and peaceful political actors, it reveals not strength, but weakness. Our peaceful resistance has allowed the message to reach far and wide. People of conscience are aware of atrocities in Balochistan, yet greater global attention is needed to end the genocide. theguardian.com/global-develop…

Women’s Rights Beyond Labels: An Islamic & Afghan Perspective Feminism is an exceptionally complex topic and with respect, it is misleading to say "Afghan men who hate feminism"; it is not about hatred. I personally believe that: ☑️one does not need to identify with modern feminism to defend and support women’s rights. ☑️We have our own framework for it: our religion. Islam, and my ethical beliefs and morals all teach me that both women and men deserve dignity, respect, and justice. This framework predates modern feminism. ☑️I don’t need modern feminism. I don’t need any label when I have our own framework for women’s dignity, rights, and justice. ☑️one simply has to be committed to equality and the protection of individual rights. Women’s rights are human rights, full stop! Secondly, in support of @tamimasey's tweet , I said that those Afghans (women, men) who still call for feminism should not follow or adopt it “blindly” and uncritically. They should study and understand its history, how and in what specific historical context it originated. Is it universally applicable, or is it culturally specific? (See at least what your American scholars say about it, for example, Daphne Patai and Noretta Koertge.) In Afghanistan, when provincial leaders and elders were coming to the Afghan presidential palace to discuss national issues in large gatherings, they repeatedly thanked President Karzai for the fact that "his wife was not seen in public or on TV." Now, what message do we get here? What does this mean for us and for defending women's rights (human rights)? We certainly have problems regarding women’s rights in Afghanistan, like many other problems, and there are reasons for it. Some of our problems come from patriarchal interpretations of our Islamic teachings and from patriarchal local cultural traditions. Our true and authentic Islamic teachings strongly defend human rights and allow girls to learn (in school or university) and allow women to work. Unfortunately, this is not the case in Afghanistan, and it is condemnable; however, the solution is not feminism. Modern Western feminism can never solve these problems, in my opinion. #Afghanistan #feminism #HumanRights #WomenRights #Taliban

“5 years ago, in the top 10 would be 8 U.S. universities, 1 from France, and 1 from Germany and/or the UK, depending on the count. Right now, if you see the same index in 2025, 8 of the top are Chinese and only 1—Harvard—remains,” says Albert Bourla, chairman and CEO of Pfizer, Inc. Bourla refers to the Nature Index, a ranking of universities and institutions by their contributions to high-quality scientific research in the natural sciences. 🔗 Watch the full conversation: on.cfr.org/4bIWMw3

The same narrow-minded, politically-driven and selfish individuals reported me to UK intelligence a while back, which led to an investigation. Fortunately, it was concluded with them telling me they understood that I simply “care” about my people and girls’ schools.

Disappointing… Being against the education ban shouldn’t be controversial. Most reasonable people agree it’s wrong. But what’s harder to understand is why that frustration is being funneled into spaces led by the same opportunists, warmongers, and failed elites Afghans have already lived through. You can oppose harmful policies without legitimizing the people who bring nothing but more pain, suffering, and instability. These are the same people who spent years blocking engagement, economic relief, and opposing anything that might stabilize life for ordinary Afghans. Why? Because stability doesn’t serve their narrative. Collapse does. Pakistan is bombing Afghanistan. Civilians are dying. Possibly 400 in one strike at a rehab center in Kabul. Independent groups like Human Rights Watch said they found no credible evidence that Omid Center was being used for military purposes. But these “anti-Taliban” voices repeat the same Pakistani propaganda claims used to justify the strikes. If you claim to stand with Afghans, or human rights, why defend narratives that excuse their deaths? Why echo lies when independent organizations and journalists have been clear? Because when you have no principles, anything that advances your objectives is perfectly fine. So if you stand with these individuals, or attend their meetings, you are standing for further suffering in your home country and are just a tool for their progress. No excuses

Amazing. All of this is a lie. The US and Israel have now twice launched wars on Iran amid talks that were, by most accounts, making progress. And the consensus view of US intelligence since 2007 is that Iran wasn’t seeking a nuclear weapon. Although we may have changed that now.
Department of State@StateDept

SECRETARY RUBIO: For all the people out there talking about how this could have been avoided, Iran was given every opportunity to talk but all they did was reject or delay. President Trump was not going to allow Iran to become a nuclear power on his watch and threaten America ever.

🇮🇷🇮🇱 Nick Fuentes is going viral after telling viewers to “pray for Iran,” claiming that “Iran is fighting for all of humanity,” and saying, “Israel is after you. Iran is just in the way.” Iran is fighting for regime survival. But the underlying question he's circling around isn't crazy: what happens to the Middle East if Iran collapses entirely? With Iran's military gutted, no regional counterbalance exists. Israel's Defense Minister is already claiming 10% of Lebanon permanently. Netanyahu is pitching pipelines that route through Israeli-allied territory. The finance minister said Israel's border should extend to the Litani River. You don't have to romanticize the Iranian regime to recognize that its total destruction leaves one country with complete unchecked power over the entire region. And that country has shown zero interest in sharing it... Clip: @Partisan_12
