It’s crazy how WW events fly completely under the radar for Capcom. Today Lexx qualified for Capcom Cup and Capcom didn’t do anything besides repost the organizers’ Top 8 post. What I mean is—they want to make a PPV and earn more money, but don’t put in any extra effort unless it’s a Premier event. That region is kinda known because they’ve got top players, but what about the regions where players aren’t as popular? Someone qualifies and nobody even notices, and Capcom doesn’t do anything to push or highlight them. At least let people know who’s representing their country as soon as they qualify. Capcom, if you really want to charge people to watch, start delivering something now. Otherwise, no one’s gonna care. In a lot of regions, SF isn’t even that popular—and if you don’t market each player and make people proud of their local reps, everything’s just gonna go unnoticed. That way the audience won’t grow, it’ll shrink. This ain’t WWE, and if you want to make it like WWE, then go all in and make it like WWE, haha.
