Without onchain verification, pokemon cards are worthless. You can lose them in a fire, people can just print pieces of paper off and claim they’re real, and so much more. An NFT of a Pokémon card is worth 100x any PSA 10 because you can prove its authenticity.

@phygitals @zjbrenner @AllCityBAYC What would you have done in this situation? @phygitals Reminder, I’ve redeemed 66 slabs in 3 months from @Courtyard_io and now this happened with a redemption order of another 25 slabs. $145 for order worth $2.5k+ is criminal. Just because I didn’t click their insurance?!

They’re giving me $145 compensation for slabs worth $2.5k+ because I didn’t buy their insurance. Funny thing is that the package never even left the country. @LeJ3une @Courtyard_io

Just received some dope PSA 10 slabs from $50 @Courtyard_io pack rips worth around $550. Very smooth and quick redemption process that got me my cards in just over a week, ty @chef_spin 🙏 When I was a kid, I collected Pokemon cards like any other Asian kid on the playground but got over the hobby after a few years. Something about the rush of ripping mystery slabs online triggered the degen in me and onboarded me back into collecting pokemon cards over 2 decades later. Shoutouts to Courtyard and @beezie for satisfying my pack ripping itch. Also heard @phygitals, @Collector_Crypt, @MagicEden, and @gacha_game_ have some cool pack ripping experiences as well- has anybody tried them yet? Wondering how they compare.

Tokenized Pokémon TCG volumes are going parabolic. Last month, the four main marketplaces facilitated $124.5 million in volume, a 5.5x increase from January. Broken down by individual marketplaces: @Courtyard_io is the top dog, with $78.4 million in volume in August (+49% MoM). @Collector_Crypt is the biggest marketplace on @solana, with $44.0 million in volume in August (+124% MoM). However, the biggest gainer in % terms for August was @phygitals, which grew its monthly volumes 245% MoM to $2.0 million.

I’ve previously redeemed 66 slabs successfully from Courtyard, which is why this situation is extremely concerning. This shipment consisted of cards that belonged to me and my brother and we are devastated! We want the same cards we had and in the same grades @Courtyard_io
