Feb 2023. That was when the ability to inscribe jpegs was just being discovered. OCM Dimensions showed that it was possible to do much more on Bitcoin. A 3D rendering with lighting, in high resolution, and interactive! And artists can use the OCM Dimensions code to create their art.

@huuep @OnChainMonkey OCM definitely did right and continued to further the adoption of Data URI embedded SVGs!

Fully on-chain is super interesting! That was the main exploration when I created @OnChainMonkey! (OCM used the tokenURI because that is the most widely understood standard for NFTs and svg because it was possible to encode geometric art in a format that even if svg wasn’t known, using English, the images could be reconstructed.) The early artworks explore different aspects of on-chain art. That is the art.

Looks like many Bitcoiners love Ordinals. Michael Saylor was impressed back in early 2023 when I described how we inscribed the complete 10k OCM @OnChainMonkey images on Bitcoin, and it was only 20 kilobytes. 2 bytes/unique image!🔥
