"This is not the same José Mourinho anymore. Manchester United, Tottenham, Roma, and Fenerbahçe all ended sourly. ‘The Special One’ is now an average one. Time’s arrow neither stands still nor reverses, and it has caught up with Mourinho." @BrettFjourno: breakingthelines.com/manager-analys…

@nondeplume @shemsifcb We'll probably score one if not two at home. If we end up conceding 4 we deserve to go out

It is currently highly unlikely that Tottenham and Roma will exercise their buy-options for João Palhinha and Bryan Zaragoza respectively. Regarding the Portuguese midfielder, Bayern were initially confident that Spurs would sign him permanently for the €30m that was agreed last summer. However, with Tottenham's current uncertain situation, relegation threat and the coaching changes, it's unlikely Palhinha will be signed In the case of Zaragoza, Bayern and Roma agreed on an option to buy of around €13 million, which becomes mandatory if the Spaniard plays at least 50% of all possible minutes and the Italian club qualifies for at least the Europa League via Serie A. Eberl and Freund agreed to the move in January because they believed the prospects of a permanent transfer seemed better at Roma than at Celta Vigo. With the team currently in sixth place in the league, one of these conditions would indeed be met. However, in terms of playing time, Zaragoza is nowhere near the 50% required to trigger the option (19% in the league, 37% in the Europa League). Unless there's a quick turnaround, Zaragoza and Palhinha will return to Munich in the summer - and subsequently face an uncertain future. Vincent Kompany is not planning with them for next season. The club would have to find a new destination for both players [@BILD]

You know Bayern Munich is a failing institution by the fact Uli Hoeneß’s words still carry weight to their fanbase 😂 Respectfully, the number of silly quotes he’s had in the last few years has been incredible. Any Premier League club and even Barcelona/Real Madrid would have long since nipped him in the bud and made sure he had no influence but Bayern Munich still act hands off despite a history of literal jail time and constantly making their lives difficult with a silly sexist quote or comments on transfers here and there. He’s a walking PR disaster but constantly finds himself hamstringing the decisions of executives they hire to run the club by making statements to the press or fans which hinder their CEOs and Sporting Directors from doing their jobs properly. That’s why his statements on Olise are to be taken with a pinch of salt. He’s clearly a problem for Bayern’s actual sporting directors, just a meddling old man who snipes in the press from time to time because they lovingly gave him some honorary title to make him feel involved. It’s the equivalent of letting your younger sibling play on the PlayStation without the controller actually being connected.
