🧬 Disitamab Vedotin, Tislelizumab, and S-1 Show Encouraging First-Line Activity in HER2-Overexpressing Advanced Gastric Cancer A single-arm phase II study evaluated first-line disitamab vedotin + tislelizumab + S-1 in 57 patients with HER2-overexpressing advanced gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma. The report points to several critical gaps: 🔵 Colorectal cancer screening saves lives, but many countries still lack organized screening programmes. 🔵 H. pylori eradication can reduce gastric cancer risk and mortality, but national population-based programmes are still missing. 🔵 Hepatitis B vaccination can prevent future liver cancer, but birth-dose coverage remains below global targets. 🔵 Alcohol and obesity prevention remain central for reducing esophageal cancer risk. 🔵 Pancreatic cancer remains defined by late diagnosis, making earlier risk identification an important future priority.
