@davidmcw - left the parish of DL for a few days around New Year's in Dubai. First time caller. The scale of ambition and execution is off the charts. We are in so much trouble with the absence of plans, political energy or ability to deliver. Not a 1st mover or fast follower.

@DaraghCassidy It was 50 years ago...the country and the world a different place. If the owners progressed the planning they have to glaze the outside it would help. Still, at least we have our glorious Lexicon library.

Without doubt one of the ugliest buildings in Dublin. Even more so when you consider the lovely buildings it replaced. Another example of “what were we thinking”.

Just back from a few hours in Dublin City. Grateful for the work of @dlrcc in Dun Laoghaire. Dublin City Centre under @DubCityCouncil is arguably an absolute kip (and this was Grafton Street and environs).

The Carnegie Library is now being used by @myIADT and looks beautiful inside They are programming a lecture series starting in Sept that will be open to the public and will use it as a research hub. Its great to see more students in the town, the more links we have with IADT the better!
