The way you can tell that socialists don’t actually want to help the poor but just want to hurt the rich is that none of them actually ever do anything to help the poor in their private lives.

While many Japanese people are struggling with stagnant wages, rising living costs, and an uncertain future, the government is reportedly spending at least 5.5 billion yen of taxpayers’ money on programs to bring in more foreign workers.
It raises a basic question:
why is so much effort and public funding being directed toward accepting large numbers of foreigners, when the same level of seriousness is not being shown toward improving the lives of the country’s own citizens?
If companies want foreign labor so badly, they should bear the full cost — including any social consequences — rather than shifting the burden onto ordinary taxpayers.

What keeps me up at night as a new parent is the thought of raising a child through all the difficulties and fears, getting them to the point where they’re a well-adjusted young adult, about to take their first big strides into the world…only for them to be stabbed in the neck by some dead-eyed genetic detritus with a history of violence, and who will forget murdering your baby as one forgets the taste of a McDonald’s drive-thru meal five minutes after consumption.

The craziest part of Musk becoming a trillionaire is that I remember when the federal deficit was only 160 billion (2007) At that time, the national debt was 9 trillion, which seemed like an unfathomably large number. Now the national debt is $40 trillion, the deficit is $1.5 trillion when things are going well but no one talks about it because the Republicans have given up on the concept of fiscal sanity.

@PTElephant Nobody is trans: nobody is born in the wrong body. Nobody has a "gender identity" because we don't have a gender distinct from sex. Nobody is non-binary: we each have a sex, either male or female, which cannot be changed by any means. Biology is a science & it is not optional.
