1. A standard cut which removes the anime-original scenes.
2. An extended cut which keeps the good anime-original scenes.
So, those who want to watch those scenes can do so.

@inkblotPrincess Well I'm pretty sure that's not true, one pace objective is not to make the pacing better but actually to make the anime match the manga more accurately, even if it means cutting anime original scenes, which has been criticized recently for obvious reasons

It's a little scary, admittedly, that I am watching One Piece via One Pace--the edit whose sole function is to make the pacing of the show better--and my main complaint about the show is still that the pacing is really bad

@sharpCircle17 @musingsofohara @kryon07 @vmohv Yea, the anime is *supposed* to be that. But the *vast* majority of additions are just to pad time, and so are useless.
Also, the few moments that might elevate the source material can be found in the extended cuts that we release for certain episodes.

@musingsofohara @kryon07 @vmohv Bc the anime is supposed to be an elevation of the source material and One Pace fundamentally misunderstands that. You can say that the anime fails in some parts but that doesn’t justify cutting out ALL anime-original parts, because then why NOT just read the manga?

One pace hate overexaggerated. Obviously don’t recommend it to first timers but if u tryna rewatch an arc then i dont see y one pace is a bad option

If the pacing of the One Piece anime aggravates you so much, just read the manga, do anything else except watch it through One Pace, it’s a horrible experience.

@IrtezaY @DeadbeatJulie @twinnem99 Because when we released those episodes, the dub didn't exist. Wano 1-4 are re-releases, which is why they have dub. When we get to re-releasing Wano 5-30, we will add dub to them.

Also why would anyone want to watch a "grind". Especially when they don't need to.

@anelo09 @OnePaceProject Yea but new OP got grandfathered into this. You can’t just expect them to go to 3/4 chapters an episode while still being weekly. My whole thing is uk what you’re getting into when you’re watching OP the same with DBZ for example. OPs always been labeled as a grind for a reason

@vmohv Anime edits are stupid to begin with. You can't brute force improved pacing on an anime. It doesn't work that way, and it'll always result in a jarring experience. You're just wasting a lot of your time.

@tsukuyomi448 @lol2fast_ @vmohv Yea those arcs were released many many years ago. So the quality of their edits are not up to our current standards. We will go back to re-edit and re-release them.

@lol2fast_ @vmohv I also rewatched using one pace and agree that its fine the only thing for me was that the editing from dressrosa to wci was pretty bad but they said they’re gonna redo the arcs so I feel like it’s just the more enjoyable way to watch the show than the <1 chapter an episode arcs

@twinnem99 (2/2) How? Well, the original anime adapts chapter 1 in episode 4, not 1. Also, it cuts how Luffy got his scar under his eye. The only time this scene was adapted was in a special called Episode of East Blue. One Pace uses this special as the base for our 1st episode.

@twinnem99 No you can (and should) recommend it to first timers too, for two reasons:
1. Why would you want people to suffer through Toei's atrocious pacing?
2. Starting with One Pace gives you a more manga-accurate introduction to the series than the anime. (1/2)
