@Sinney_Scwasp @sigmahamster2 Rural areas need a lot of stuff that is produced in cities or at the very least imported mostly through large ports and airports. Getting everything with trucks and smaller rail connections is more expensive and something less economically dominant rural areas cant afford.

Reminder that Democrats subsidize rural regions (bad) via hospitals, broadband internet access, infrastructure, etc. Rural people turn around and consistently vote Republican.
If Democrats stopped frivolously spending, there’d be increased economic pressure to concentrate in urban areas, thus helping democrats’ political prospects. Maybe one of the worst political strategies from Dems, more on this in a substack soon!

@BarryGSexy @karl_anon2 With enough checks and balances you cant exactly pass the "end democracy" bill. But if you for example vote enough AfD/AfD adjacent judges into the highest court they can begin saying that certain unfair undemocratic bills are actually not against the constitution.
