A lot of new drivers have no idea how to fill out one of these. These are paper logs. I own a 1996 Peterbilt so I run on paper logs. Anything post 2000 run electronic logs. ELDs are a necessity for today's new age drivers but those of us who've been out here for decades know what our limitations are and we care about the safety of your family and ourselves. The ELD should've never been a mandate but instead it should have been a punishment tool for carriers who consistently "force dispatch." The fact that many drivers don't know how to properly fill out a paper log is concerning.
