Fantastic effort, forecheck along the wall by Mittelstadt to help get this puck to Zacha. You can claim the bounce was fortunate, but there was nothing lucky about Mittelstadt working hard and going right to the net after the well-timed shot from Aspirot. #NHLBruins

Hagens was good tonight. The start was obviously underwhelming but that was expected as he was in a ‘feel out’ mode stepping into the AHL for the first time. Showed good speed but was also closed on a bit as well. The third period is where he turned it up. Some tremendous moments with the puck especially on the power play. Also wasn’t pushed around as much later in the game here, he even started to throw his body around too.

I remember talking to Torey Krug, who is one of the guys when I signed in Providence, and talking to him, and he had spent some time there. So I remember how much it meant to me. The way I read this: Sweeney can call Hagens up, but he's only going to do so if Sturm is comfortable playing him. Basically, he's not going to force Sturm to play him if Sturm says "I have 12 other forwards I trust more" in the middle of a playoff race.

Sweeney on what Hagens needs to improve on: “It’s off -puck details. There’s a few players in this league who can outscore some deficiencies, but the details. The space is limited, the stakes are higher.” Says he has to be a more complete player and be more invested in details.
