Point us to Oakland and Berkeley police disciplinary records that *you've* received, and we'll link out to them from the relevant police officer profiles.

I've been working on adding CA police disciplinary records I've received under new transparency law SB1421 to police officer profiles on @OpenOversight, like this Oakland police board use of force review report in the shooting of a homeless man in 2018 openoversight.com/incidents/6

TODAY, @Chicago_Police got ordered through a #FOIA request to produce all complaint investigation files from 1967-2015. #transparency Given that the City of Chicago has spent millions in taxpayer dollars to keep such files secret, this is a significant development.

Looks like a bunch of Contra Costa police unions are now challenging retroactivity portion of the new CA police transparency law. We got filings like this from Richmond, Antioch and Concord in response to pub records requests.

"Closing Rikers and opening 4 new jails isnt a solution or improvement. It's just moving people from one cage to another. It'll always be a cage and it's still modern day slavery." #NoNewJailsNYC #CloseRikersNOW @PeoplesForumNYC

Good morning, New York City! Did you know you can help build a database of the US' biggest police force by submitting photographs of NYPD officers in uniform? ✨openoversight.com/submit/departm…
