JC who originally posted one of the Bruno files has been banned from the #seaofthieves official discord for “Discussing pirated/illegal material” (ie. talking abt leaked stuff?. You know who WASNT banned for talking about leaked future content? BRUNO! (see third screenshot). In my opinion, the moderation team is looking for excuses to ban people who spoke up about the Bruno thing, and is getting away with it because they are doing it one person at a time (no massive ban wave that will spark outrage)

@alatami1 @z_Prestige_ This is the the dumbest shit I've read around the topic, and that's including the comment about it not being a pvp game. PvPvPvE (scratches brain). Do yourself a favor, and quit playing again, or at least quit meat riding Rare like you will actually get recognition for doing it.

@z_Prestige_ Rare has always publicly said that SoT is PvPvPvE game. It has elements of pve and change of pvp. Basically it is what you and other pirates on server make of it. So that Rare person saying that SoT is not pvp game is totally correct.

This comment has bugged me for over 24 hours and I still don't know what to think. Couple of insights here and apologies if this comes across as harsh, but that's just how I am: 1. SoT is 100% a PvP game. There's no argument against this. If you don't believe that it is a PvP game, please explain Safer Seas to me. 2. Now that we've established that someone affiliated with Rare is wrong about the fundamentals with the game, please help me understand how this is possible. If I am hired or volunteer for a company, and my job is to promote them or do a specific job for them, when I'm speaking in public, I should fully understand that my words reflect that company. If I work for Starbucks and tell people that we don't sell coffee, but rather we are the #1 distributor of pizza in the world, doesn't that reflect rather poorly on my knowledge of my job? And shouldn't other co-workers see this public statement that I have made to a vast clientele and say "Hey, this is wrong. We actually sell coffee at Starbucks. Not pizza." Again, I'm not here to pick on specific people and be some kind of asshole. But the point still stands that for years, the community has tried to better understand the beliefs and goals of this company, and its very telling what Rare's priorities are when you have employees / volunteers / contractors telling your entire Discord community that the game you designed is not at all what half your community believes that it is. And this somehow just goes completely unchecked by anyone else working for Rare? Where's the moderation on this statement? Why isn't this persons comment being deleted? It's wrong. Why does it go unchecked? I was under the impression that SoT moderators loved to delete and remove comments? 7 years into it's gaming life cycle, please explain to me how this is even remotely possible? But at the end of the day, this explains why this game is where it's at in its life cycle. When employees / volunteers cannot even classify the game they are working on, and no one else at Rare even considers to correct this statement, you've arrived at the current affairs with the game. For years you refused to listen to the PvP community, and now you don't even recognize that they exist. Unfortunate.
