Crypto is not a horse race. That metaphor traps people in short-term thinking, as if market capitalization were a finish line and price movement were proof of victory. But blockchain ecosystems are not horses running on a track. They are cities being built. Some cities put up towers quickly and attract crowds early. They look exciting. Capital floods in. People migrate there for opportunity. But a skyline is not the same thing as infrastructure. The real test is what lies underneath: the roads, plumbing, power grid, legal system, governance, security, and civic trust. The strongest ecosystem may not be the one with the tallest tower today. It may be the one still laying foundations, building durable institutions, and preparing for decades of use. In crypto, the long-term winner is not simply the fastest horse. It is the city that can survive storms, absorb migration, govern itself, and keep expanding without collapsing under its own weight.

It's more about better coordination, optimizing information sharing, and creating a mechanism for institutional memory so we don't have to keep making the same missteps. One big challenge would be keeping the moderators neutral. Creating a Governance Logic Layer would create a standardized layer that connects: on-chain identities and history, governance objects, proposal discussions, DRep statements, constitutional requirements, and open interfaces usable by many applications. This would improve better informed decisions.

We appear to always look for a new platform to fix the old one instead of just fixing the old one, there is already infrastructure in place thousands of hours of it being worked on. I’m not sure adding another one in fracturing people‘s attention is the right idea.

Cardano was at its best when we pushed each other forward and brought each other up. Let’s get back to remembering there are real people on the other side of the screen. Life’s too short!

@Ledger I don’t know about Cardano, folks. That SeconFi incident is quite concerning. Any advice for Cardano holders who use Ledger for it, but have SecondFi (Yoroi) as the app as ADA is not in Ledger Live?

Good morning! On @alphagrowth1 - my current position is leaning YES, however right now I'd probably vote NO. There are things I'd like to see, but I don't know if it's worth blocking (ie NO vote) - feels like it should be. Open to any feedback from the community & Alpha on this. I believe PRIME is directionally one of the stronger strategic proposals currently before the community. I agree that growing Cardano’s DeFi ecosystem, liquidity, institutional participation, and overall competitiveness should be a priority. If successful, this has the potential to create meaningful long-term value for the ecosystem and treasury alike. However, I am not yet comfortable supporting the proposal in its current form. My primary concern is attribution. Cardano is not entering this program from a standing start. The ecosystem has already materially improved through infrastructure and ecosystem investments including USDCx, the continued growth of USDM, LayerZero, Pyth, maturing DeFi protocols, and additional roadmap items such as Leios. Combined with the possibility of improving macroeconomic conditions over the next 12 months, Cardano appears positioned to benefit from natural ecosystem growth regardless of whether PRIME exists. I'm talking potential tailwinds here. That is not a criticism of PRIME—it is simply today’s reality how I see it. I could be wrong there. For that reason though, I believe the proposal sets too low a bar for maximum performance compensation. Approximately ₳29 million—roughly one-third of the total treasury request—is reserved for potential AlphaGrowth performance compensation before the final attribution methodology has even been defined. The proposal states that methodology will be developed after approval. That is asking DReps to approve a substantial performance reserve without first agreeing on the rules that determine whether it is earned. I believe those rules should exist before approval, not after. I also do not believe TVL alone is a sufficient performance metric. While TVL is an important indicator, it should be accompanied by reasonable thresholds for metrics such as transaction volume, active users, protocol fee generation, and liquidity persistence. Sustainable ecosystem growth should be measured by actual economic activity, not simply capital deposited. If we are going to base it soley on TVL, I would look to stronger performance-based compensation models. For example, I believe the performance fee should vest over time rather than being earned solely upon initial qualification. Initial impact deserves recognition, but the proposal’s stated objective is durable liquidity, not temporary TVL. A staged vesting schedule—for example 25% after the current 30-day persistence requirement, an additional 25% after 90 days, and the remaining 50% after 180 days of sustained qualifying TVL—would better align compensation with long-term ecosystem health while still ensuring AlphaGrowth is paid as value is created. Finally, I would like to see stronger disclosure requirements around pre-existing initiatives. Where protocols, institutional partners, liquidity providers, or integrations were already engaged in discussions or had publicly announced plans prior to PRIME, those activities should not be fully attributable to PRIME. I am looking for evidence of success that is directly correlated to AlphaGrowth’s involvement—outcomes that would not reasonably have occurred without their participation. I feel this is a somewhat nice to have, not a hard/firm requirement - NDAs being understood, etc. that could be challenging to produce. This proposal is close. I support the overall direction and recognize the potential value it could bring to Cardano. My current vote reflects concerns about how success is measured and rewarded, not opposition to the underlying objective. Should these concerns be adequately addressed, I would be willing to reconsider my position. Because I believe this initiative has the potential to be strategically important if appropriately structured, I am prepared to support increasing the NCL to ₳500M.

$ADA I just finished reading the Cardano PRIME proposal. What stood out to me is that this isn’t about buying TVL. The goal is to identify what’s missing across Cardano DeFi, fix those gaps, attract long-term liquidity, and measure success by what remains after the incentives end. That’s a much harder goal than simply paying for short-term growth.

It monitors Cardano stablecoin mint and burn transactions and posts updates to X in real time. @USDMOfficial is supported by default, but it’s built for more stablecoins - whatever they’re pegged to. Governance should always leave room for honest reconsideration. After a deeper review of the Enterprise Adoption: Ticketing Platform Proposal - and a genuine exchange with @CashAnvil - I changed my vote from No to Yes. 📍In my initial assessment, I placed too much weight on open-source reuse. Open source can create enormous ecosystem value, but it should not automatically be a requirement for every Treasury-funded initiative. My standards have not changed: accountability, repayment protections, and long-term ecosystem value still matter. What changed was my understanding of how this proposal aims to meet those standards. I appreciate @CashAnvil for engaging openly and providing additional context. Transparent governance means explaining not only why we vote - but also why we sometimes change our minds.
