@OptimaDomains Usually yes.
"New York plumbers"
"San Diego pest control"
These things are literal gold..

@cultra Good perspective. Gotta get grinding..

@nathan_covey People are already getting tired of ai-generated content - especially videos and writing. Real videos and human writing, even with all its flaws, will be something that people will long for.

I own a duplex. My tenant downstairs is a single mom with a newborn. Rent is due on the 1st. It was the 5th, and I hadn't heard from her. Usually, I send a late notice. It's a business, right? But I went down and knocked instead. She opened the door holding a crying baby. She looked like she hadn't slept in a week. "I'm so sorry," she panicked. "My maternity leave was unpaid and my car broke down. I have $200. I can get the rest by Friday." I looked around her apartment. It was bare. She had sold her couch. "Keep the $200," I said. "In fact, don't worry about rent this month." She stopped crying and stared at me. "What?" "Take the month," I said. "Buy groceries. Fix the car. We'll start fresh next month." I lost $1,200 that day. But the look of pure relief on that mother's face? Worth every single penny. A lease is a contract, but humanity should always be the fine print.

@KenLin1985 👍 I picked up CostumeSearch.com recently
English

Picked up a few more long-tail / niche .com domains recently.
I like these types of names because they often sit outside the obvious investor radar but still have clear development or investment potential.
A few interesting ones 👇
1️⃣ TexasPanhandle․com
A regional name covering the northern part of Texas.
This area includes:
• Palo Duro Canyon – often called the 2nd largest canyon in the U.S.
• The city of Amarillo
• Historic Route 66 running through the region
Feels like a good fit for a regional travel site, possibly monetized with day-trip tours and travel affiliate programs.
2️⃣ Malaren․com
Refers to Lake Mälaren, right next to Stockholm, Sweden.
This lake is historically significant as one of the centers of early Viking civilization, surrounded by castles and historic towns.
Short, clean name with both:
• travel development potential
• strong brand feel
3️⃣ MovieCostumes․com
This one was inspired by the legendary sale of HalloweenCostumes․com, which reportedly sold for around $1M and later became the leading online Halloween costume retailer in the U.S.
“Movie Costumes” is a more long-tail keyword, but still a clear category within the costume industry.
Could work as:
• an ecommerce brand
• a niche costume marketplace
• or a movie / cosplay costume hub
4️⃣ Collations․com
In English, collation generally means organizing, compiling, or assembling information or documents.
So this could potentially work for:
• data tools
• document processing utilities
• text or dataset organization platforms
Interestingly, in French (especially in Quebec) collation commonly refers to a snack or light meal.
So the domain carries two different meanings depending on language.
5️⃣ Plaquemine․com
A historic city in Louisiana, USA (population around 7,000).
Known for:
• historic architecture
• Mississippi River scenery
• nearby industrial growth
The name comes from a French word referring to persimmons.
Could have potential for:
• local real estate
• regional tourism
• or a city guide site.
I've always liked picking up long-tail geo and category domains like these.
They may not look flashy at first glance, but many of them have clear development paths or specific end-user markets.
Sometimes those are the most interesting bets.

@ViperChill @Rhea The SEO industry owes a lot to Rhea🫡
English

Today marks 16 years since the attempt to trademark 'SEO' was blocked.
@Rhea spent two years and ~$17,000 fighting Jason Gambert, who essentially wanted control over who could sell SEO™ as a service.
People fairly new to SEO might not know about this story and what a legend she is, so I've shared it on this day for the last few years.
In the past, Rhea has also made sure to credit Sarah Bird, Jonathan Hochman, Matthew Foster, and @mvandemar for their part in the victory.

I live just south of LAX and rarely go up to Downtown LA due to heavy traffic and homelessness in certain parts. With that said, there's a ton of things to do.
Amusement Parks:
1) Disneyland (Orange County)
2) Knotts Berry Farm (OC)
3) Knotts Soak City (next to Knotts Berry Farm)
4) Universal Studios
5) Six Flags Magic Mountain (bit of a drive north, for roller coaster lovers)
Museums/Sights:
1) The Getty
2) La Brea Tar Pits & Museum
3) California Science Center
4) Griffith Park & Observatory
5) Queen Mary (Long Beach)
6) Aquarium of the Pacific (LB)
If you like the beach scenery (less hectic), stay in the South Bay area (Hermosa, Manhattan, Marina Del Rey, Redondo Beach) which is just south of LAX. Tons of hotels... not sure about bnbs.
If I was a tourist, I'd check out Long Beach shoreline village area. Lots of restaurants and places to walk around and do.
English

@OptimaDomains Family yes.
