@RapTureBased_ @TheOutsiderHum1 @TheSkepticWiz There is no "proof" anywhere.. all the evidence you can provide is exactly the same quality of evidence that someone who believes in an imaginary god can also provide Belief isnt a virtue. Only imaginary gods value Belief because non-belief is the biggest threat to them

@OptimalBayes @TheOutsiderHum1 @TheSkepticWiz Not true at all. There’s proof everywhere. You choose to believe something else. Which you can do, at the end of the day, I’m right with God. I know where my soul is going. You on the other hand, are rolling a huge gamble. And for no reason since salvation is free loll. Good luck

They are the result of Judgement Day: condemnation, wrath, death, destruction, etc. Sadly, few will ever understand. We are all sinners and condemned to Hell. On Judgment Day, yes, we are judged for our works, but those of us that have believed on Christ will step forward to be Judged and we will have no sin. PAID IN FULL!

@LetsDiscuss2024 @iamAtheistGirl The biggest threat to imaginary gods that only exist in the mind is disbelief, which is why imaginary gods tend to develop allergies to skepticism A real god, that actually exists independently of the human mind has no need to demand belief For your god its a fight for survival

100% wrong. Thanks for trying to build a straw man and attacking that. Picture yourself in a violent battle with a scarecrow. That's what just happened. 1. Direct statement about unbelief and condemnation John 3:18 “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already…” This verse explicitly says those who do not believe are already under condemnation. 2. Unbelief leads to God’s wrath remaining John 3:36 “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” Here, unbelief results in not seeing life and remaining under God's wrath. 3. Unbelievers listed among those cast into the lake of fire Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving… shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” This explicitly includes “the unbelieving” in final judgment. 4. Eternal punishment contrasted with eternal life Matthew 25:46 “And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” While not using the word “unbelief” directly, it describes eternal punishment for those not counted among the righteous. 5. Those who obey not the gospel face everlasting destruction 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 “...them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel… Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction…” “Not obeying the gospel” is commonly understood to include rejecting or disbelieving it. 6. Warning about dying in unbelief John 8:24 “...if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.” Dying “in your sins” implies facing judgment without forgiveness. Summary Across these passages, the BIBLE consistently shows: Belief → eternal life Unbelief → condemnation, wrath, and eternal punishment Yes, I used AI, because it's that easy.

@LetsDiscuss2024 @iamAtheistGirl This a common claim, but if you actually read the Bible, every single description of judgement day describes people being judged by their actions and works, not their beliefs

@sandeepnailwal Ugh more "Consciousness is fundamental" bullshit This is just another classic example of the same epistemic mistake humans have made throughout all of history: Axiomatizing Ignorance When you turn what you dont understand into an Axiom, you magically dont have to understand it

LLM based AI is NOT conscious. I co-founded a company literally called Sentient, we're building reasoning systems for AGI, so believe me when I say this. I keep seeing smart people, people I genuinely respect, come out and say that AI has crossed into some kind of awareness. That it feels things, that we should worry about it going rogue. And i think this whole conversation tells us way more about ourselves than it does about AI. These models are wild, i won't pretend otherwise. But feeling human and actually having inner experience are completely different things and we're confusing the two because our brains literally can't help it. We evolved to see minds everywhere and now that wiring is misfiring on language models. I grew up in a philosophical tradition that has thought about consciousness longer than almost any other, and this is the part that really frustrates me about the current conversation. The entire framing of "does AI have consciousness?" assumes consciousness is something you build up to by adding more layers of complexity. In Vedantic philosophy it's the opposite. You don't build toward consciousness. Consciousness is already there, more fundamental than matter or energy. Everything else, including computation, is downstream of it. When someone tells me AI is "waking up" because it generated a paragraph that felt real, what they're telling me is how thin our understanding of consciousness has gotten. We've reduced a question humans have wrestled with for thousands of years to "did the output sound like it had feelings?" It's math that has gotten really good at predicting what a conscious being would say and do next. Calling that consciousness cheapens something that Vedantic, Buddhist, Greek and Sufi thinkers spent millennia actually sitting with. We didn't build something that thinks. We built a mirror and right now a lot of very smart people are mistaking the reflection for something looking back.

@RapTureBased_ @TheOutsiderHum1 @TheSkepticWiz No, the issue is that your god is conveniently indistinguishable from a figment of your imagination, and you want us to believe that it isnt a figment of your imagination when the only evidence you can provide is the same quality of evidence a figment of your imagination could

@Ulysses_Wept @BrowntownBrew @johncwright2001 Many Mormons died for their beliefs including Joseph Smith, the founder Same with the Heavens Gate cult If "died for their beliefs" is sufficient reason to believe, then you are compelled to believe a plethora of things you dont believe Your reasoning is inconsistent

I spent most of my life swallowing the propaganda that “everything spontaneously came from nothing” is more likely than “like all things, this too has a cause.” I grew out of that. If you ignore the written biographies with accounts from eyewitnesses who died for their claims and the continuous institution that has maintained the interpretation and traditions around those events and written biographies, then yeah, I guess there’s no historical support. Just like if I say “setting aside all those novels and short stories, Hemingway didn’t really write much.”

@Ulysses_Wept @BrowntownBrew @johncwright2001 Nobody thinks "everything spontaneously came from nothing" but theists The Big Bang certainly doesnt claim "everything came from nothing" Thats a theist strawman argument, which is a strange thing for an actual atheist to believe, since thats not what the science claims

@Hitchslap1 @DTWaling No Wisdom is associated with taking action and decision-making Intelligence is associated with problem solving, model building, & memory Many highly intelligent people make consistently poor life choices Many unintelligent people consistently make good life choices

There’s a reason we have IQ tests and not wisdom tests. “Wisdom” is a cope term favoured by people who score low on IQ tests. Seems very obvious.

Jordan Schachtel appears to be a pay-to-play "influencer" who was exposed for conducting secretive social media ops. Watch him spill the beans below. LMFAO Now, this astroturfed meatbot has invented a fallacious narrative that I'm some sort of conduit for "effective altruism." You'll notice the evidence for this comes from a 2023 POLITICO article. (Remember when that mag was accused of being an ideological conduit for the Deep State because USAID bought a bunch of POLITICO Pro subscriptions? See how the association game works? Suckers.) Schachtel is so sloppy, he takes a Verge article that mentions my unpaid involvement with the Future of Life Institute, and then erroneously conflates FLI with Humans First. He then paints both orgs as "effective altruism," which is also erroneous. He might as well claim that all humans are tool-using featherless bipeds and therefore must be on some sinister Neo-Babylonian payroll. (Speaking of, who wrote your last check, Jordan?) Also, what's all this about "censorship"? Who is being censored here, exactly? The same tech companies who have censored Americans for years? Get it together, man. The reality is that Schachtel—a proven stochastic parrot—was signal-boosted by David Sacks, Marc Andreessen, and Elon Musk for a purpose. So, what are we to assume that purpose is? Clearly, these money-soaked techno-fetishists seek to guide the future of humanity toward some goal. My longtime readers and viewers know exactly what it is. Their shared goal is clearly explained in Dark Aeon: Transhumanism and the War Against Humanity (2023). I spell it out across 400 pages, with 100 pages of meticulous citation. I have also been consistent over nearly five years of coverage at the War Room. For the casual reader, I will summarize it here: These people want to see human life dominated by artificial intelligence. They want to fundamentally transform what it means to be human. And they have billions of dollars to fund this perverse vision. To my amusement, @DavidSacks, @pmarca, and @ElonMusk boosted a shady "influencer" with limited research skills as part of that effort. They should have picked a better mouthpiece. x.com/i/status/18321…
