I am a devout Christian. I deeply know the Bible and Jesus. And the fruit of that knowledge is clear: on the holiest day of the year (or any day), someone saying they’re going to create a living Hell for a group of humans made in God’s image is the antithesis of Christ.

If you cared more for your theology then you'd be rebuking their killers instead of telling women off on the internet

James Talarico points out something I’d largely forgotten about, but is as true today as when I first learned it as a teen: Democratic policies reduce the number of abortions, through family planning and contraception — not to mention comprehensive sex ed. So in a state like Texas, you *lead* with that if someone ever asks you about abortion. Don’t just ramble on about how terrible pro-lifers are — which I believe, but which will not get you far at all in a state like Texas. Say, simply, that you are pro-choice but support policies that reduce the number of abortions, and that there is room in your coalition for pro-lifers *because* of that — *because* you share that common goal.

And, as I've said, I'd rather pass laws that discourage abortions, removing barriers for both having a child and supporting them. e.g. had to pay $2k out of pocket for my son's birth - not everyone can do that.

Rather, meeting basic needs of women who are less fortunate than you or I so they don't feel the need to terminate a pregnancy. Speaking as a new father: pro-life goes beyond birth.
