@jappleby My initial thought was that the experience deteriorated when our community left. But marketing twitter had all that miserable drama, and so does my new niche in sports media... so I guess to a lot of users its a feature not a bug?

Of all the social networks,
Twitter generally feels the most miserable.
So many people tweeting are those who just want to be seen, but for whatever reason, choose really odd ways to seek that attention: shitposting, arguing, snarky for no reason, rude quote retweets, etc

Paramount is apparently trying to suppress copies of "Only in Monroe" from appearing on other social platforms by filing frivolous copyright notices, even though the show was produced by a public access TV channel and doesn't use their intellectual property...

I was in the middle of taping on my iPhone for a social video from the White House North Lawn when we heard the shots. It sounded like dozens of gunshots. We were told to sprint to the press briefing room where we are holding now.

Of course Stephen Colbert's final Late Show audience was dwarfed by Carson, Letterman, Leno, etc. Different eras of TV.
Colbert leaves with the highest rated show among his contemporaries. If his success isn't enough, late night is in its last act.

This is the 2nd straight year casual fans are coming to college softball's biggest stage only to find an ump show. Last season it was obstruction on every single play at the plate. Now its a strike zone the size of a pin head.

Here is the @spurs-@okcthunder broadcast schedule. This is going to be an interesting viewership experiment. The games are all on broadcast, there is a ton of viewership momentum and everyone is getting a pop with the new measurement. I'll be curious where this lands.
