It’s insane how many people don’t understand that gyms are NOT public places. You can’t just film people. They LITERALLY makes the rules.

Carbonara is terrible, chunks of pork fat floating in a sauce that's half way between mayonnaise and scrambled eggs. I had a friend who made a great carbonara once and then I started ordering it at restaurants only to come to the conclusion that my friend had made it completely wrong and thus much improved the recipe

@TheJoeySwoll @X Hi Joey, you were re-instated this morning. Our adult content model is dumb sometimes, especially for semi-clothed fitness videos.

This is the problem with X right now. Joey Swoll got his monetization back because he has 1M+ followers and enough reach for people at X to notice. A smaller creator gets falsely flagged like this? They probably never get seen or a response.

Elon vs Altman: Molo’s Powerful Closing Argument On Thursday, Elon's lawyer, Steven Molo reminded the jury that Elon gave far more than money. He contributed his time, talent, and reputation to creating OpenAI. He was able to recruit Ilya Sutskever, one of the greats in the AI field, who has publicly thanked Elon and wanted to work with him because of the original mission. Molo emphasized that the evidence shows Elon donated money specifically for safe AI. He said no one thinks quite like Elon, but he genuinely cares about safe artificial intelligence and humanity’s future. Molo also pointed out that Larry Page once called Elon a “speciesist”, which helped inspire Elon to co-found OpenAI as a nonprofit in the first place. He stressed that if anyone was best suited to create a serious nonprofit for safe AI, it was Elon, given his proven success with PayPal, SpaceX, Tesla, and Starlink. Molo urged the jury to use their common sense when judging Sam Altman’s credibility. He noted that five witnesses, Ilya Sutskever, Mira Murati, Helen Toner, Tasha McCauley, and Elon Musk, have all testified under oath that Altman has a history of lying. He asked: If Sam Altman was truly an honest and truthful man, would all these people have come forward under oath to say otherwise? Molo highlighted that Sam Altman has significant stakes in multiple other companies while running OpenAI, showing divided loyalties and personal financial interests that go far beyond OpenAI. He also noted that Greg Brockman never donated to OpenAI yet now holds a $30 billion stake. Molo then gave a memorable analogy: Imagine you’re on a hike near a deep ravine. Someone tells you, “Don’t worry, the bridge is built on Sam Altman’s version of the truth. Would you walk across that bridge?” Molo said he doesn’t think anyone would. He said this case rests on Altman’s credibility and that he can’t be trusted. Molo also told the jury about the dangers of AI. “That’s something that Elon has told you has been on his mind.” He reminded them that Elon has lobbied for AI regulation by meeting with President Obama and co-founded OpenAI after learning that Larry Page, co-founder of Google, did not care about AI safety. Throughout his closing, Molo turned and looked directly at Sam Altman and Greg Brockman when he accused them of self-dealing. Brockman and Altman, sitting behind OpenAI’s lawyers, looked up when their names were called. They didn’t look happy. Molo’s screen showed unflattering mugshots of Elon Musk and Sam Altman side by side. Elon was subtly smiling. Sam looked like a deer in headlights. Another photo showed Brockman in a hoodie next to an entry from his diary: “our plan … it would be nice to be making the billions.” Molo rebutted OpenAI’s argument that by creating a for-profit, the nonprofit became one of the most well-funded charities in the world. He said: “If you go and rob a bank and take a million dollars for the bank, it’s not a defense to say I left a hundred million dollars in the bank.” Molo also rebutted OpenAI’s claim that Musk brought the suit too late because of the statute of limitations. He said that although Elon was suspicious earlier, he only found out OpenAI had truly abandoned its nonprofit mission in October 2022 when Microsoft invested $10 billion in OpenAI. Molo’s strongest lines of the day: “No one should be profiting from a nonprofit devoted to the safe development of artificial intelligence … for the benefit of humanity.” “Money is implicated in the case, but we’re not asking for it.” “If you rob a bank, it’s not OK if you say ‘But I left $100 million in the bank…’ It’s still not OK to rob a bank.” My Thoughts I listened live from Austin Thursday in between hiking on Mt. Bonnell and editing my podcast with Zuby after work. Molo’s voice came through clear and steady, confident, matter of fact, and kind. Molo was simply laying out the truth in plain language anyone could understand. It felt like the kind of closing argument that stays with you long after the jury leaves the room.

@BarrieMari32486 @tanpukunokami Maybe I didn't explain well. My point is that, if you want to live into another country, you have to be respectful and integrate. It is difficult, bc some culture are very different. My ex is that others tolerate when you try hard. I also highlighting that many didn't try at all.

@Orcruin @tanpukunokami Why must people eradicate their culture just to suit yours? If you don't want they there don't let them in. In your sense, even if Japanese comes to Yoruba land, let them eradicate their own culture to suits the Yorubas?

We are no longer in an era where we can be fooled by “just a little.” “Just burial.” “Just prayer.” “Just a mosque.” “Just coexist and accept it.” It sounds kind. But Europe has already shown us where this can lead. First, it is a request. Then, it becomes accommodation. Then, it becomes normal. And in the end, the culture of the host country is expected to stay silent. Japanese people are kind. But don’t be fooled.

Question for people around the world. Does your country have a snack that everyone grew up eating as a kid? Japan has many nostalgic snacks, but for me, KitKat always brings back childhood memories. I’d love to know the nostalgic snack from your country.

Japan has a bread called melonpan. Foreigners hear the name and probably think: “Oh, melon-flavored bread.” Not exactly. Classic melonpan usually doesn’t taste like melon. It’s called melonpan because it looks a bit like one. Round. Cute. Crispy on the outside. Soft and fluffy on the inside. An Italian living in Japan once said something interesting. Italians are used to good bread. But the taste and texture of melonpan felt completely new to him. That says a lot. Italy knows bread. Italy knows sweets. And yet, this strange Japanese bread can still surprise them. Of course, you can buy melonpan at bakeries. But in Japan, you can also find it at everyone’s favorite place: convenience stores. You can grab one with coffee in the morning. Or buy one in the afternoon when you want a small snack. It usually doesn’t taste like melon. But somehow, you want to eat it again. That’s melonpan.
