In a lot of ways BOTW & TOTK have ruined open world games for me now. Over the last few months I went back and played Skyrim, RDR1 and Witcher III, games I used to love but I can't get past a few hours before I'm insanely bored. Has anyone else had this problem?

@Chaser_Tech the game balance has issues, so did other universally praised open world game, me personally i have no issues with anyone shitting and dropping the game if the balance is bothering them, but they gotta be consistent about other games that are not too safe to shit on online

I love this new trend of Crimson Desert fans that call you a casual (of all things) for having any negative impressions in its current state.
Especially about the game's balance you being too overpowered. Which is probably why the devs stated they will add difficulty options.

You are there to do shit and be amazed when that shit can be done.

Yup! Definitely overpaid for Resident Evil 9. Both Crimson Desert and RER are fun but with Crimson Desert it's like you are playing a new game every week if not day😅

Or if they got a government inciting issues between them the way the UK gov is, where one group gets shanked and the other group gets preferrencial treatment, also no.
And also not if your country's culture is being subverted or changed. So, christian living in a muslim country needs to get with muslim culture and stfu, and muslim living in a christian country needs to get with christian culture and stfu.
It's not that this is impossible, it's just that it FEELS impossible right now because of everything else that is going on. 15 years ago this question wouldn't be so weighty, shit, you've lived abroad, you know how it is possible for different cultures and religions to coexist.
It's just that common sense needs to prevail, both to make that coexistence possible but to also impose measures to prevent future problems. And currently, common sense is an ultra-rare commodity.

@pexicanomadrid @JulioJGamez it's not better than E33 native wise, the side quests aren't as good as the withcer 3, exploration is bare bones, physics are at the same level and at times better in crimson desert, and most importantly the gameplay is mid asf

Crimson Desert must have come too far from the original vision with all the updates they did cuz I could just fly over it all 🤷
I wonder if at any point Devs thought that people will be doing these platforming as intended i.e. going from one platform to the other.

the open world does look beautiful and alive , with some interaction but it lacks the visual story stelling of the land betweens. The land has been ravage by the shattering and it really shows where ever you go in the map, thus making the world much more memorable

100 hours into Crimson Desert and I am ready to say it: Crimson Desert has the best open world I have possibly ever played. More unique content than TOTK, BOTW, Elden Ring, Almost as detailed as RDR2, More to explore than KCD2, Witcher 3. I’ve never seen ANYTHING like this.

Scholastone Institute easily beats it, and that's a small area
Btw we're on the same page artistically speaking, ER is top 3 of all times

The exploration in CD is more hardcore than ER, hidden walls for example are waaay less obvious, even caves the game doesn't tell you that you have to stab waterfalls to, access
And a lot of unique places

@FavLilnaP "More unique content than Elden Ring" and yet everything I've seen about the game is endless samey grassfields and mountains. I'm sure there's more to Crimson Desert but it's crazy to make that point when Elden Ring is full of so many distinct places
