And then there were 4! British Columbians with t1d may now be eligible for Dexcom CGM coverage under certain PharmaCare plans. An estimated 20,000 people will benefit from this change in the next 3 years. 4/13 prov & terr now have some sort of cgm coverage! Let’s keep it going!

The #HST440 presentation on statins this week was eye opening - it has planted seeds of doubt in the back of my mind about the validity of all research & clinical trials related to the efficacy of #statins. Interested to see more studies about the impact of statins on #COVID19

Absolutely my thoughts. The inequity in resource distribution/prioritization is unsettling. While I’ve been aware of the inequities in health(care) for a while, it is different to be confronted with news that seems to promote & praise the maintenance of these practices #HST440

We discussed equity throughout #HST440 and it’s definitely interesting to see how this highly anticipated vaccine is being distributed. Many in the public will not get it for quite some time yet those with lots of power are at the front of the line. What message does this send?

Agreed - #HST440 and @DrNancyOlivieri have enormously opened my eyes to the ways in which big pharma meddles with science, public medical knowledge, and disease advocacy. It is not an exaggeration to say that this class has changed the way I understand the world.
