🧵About 2 weeks before the 2005 Gaza pullout, my editor sent me into the Jewish settlement of Gush Katif to embed myself with the residents. I was one of the few reporters who sympathized with the residents, viewing their forced evacuation as a moral and strategic blunder.

Schulweg, Arbeitsweg, Heimweg gehören zum Alltag. In Göttingen jetzt auch Judenhass? Das ist keine Meinung, keine Kritik an Israel. Das ist blanker Antisemitismus. Öffentlich ausgestellt. Wer so etwas aufhängt, will nicht diskutieren – sondern einschüchtern.

I condemn in the strongest terms Minister Mai Golan’s verbal attack on MK Gilad Kariv and on Reform Judaism in general. As an Orthodox Jew and as Israel’s representative to the United States I find her words disgusting and reprehensible, worthy of excoriation and rebuke. Theological, political, and ideological differences are fine, even necessary for a healthy people. But there is a line that cannot be crossed, it is a line that divides debate from hate and separates altruism from populism. Too many are crossing the line. Mai Golan’s statement is one of them. I will visit with leaders of the Reform movement soon, in person, to apologize on Israel’s behalf.

Spencer Pratt is cutting into the heart of Angelenos. Upon my summer stays in my hometown of LA, this is what I experienced: 1. I returned to my car with the windows smashed. Someone stole my dad’s handicap placard to get the free parking it gives. 2. A homeless man parked himself in the backyard of my sister’s house, where I was staying with my little girl and young female cousins. We had to call the local Jewish neighborhood watch to make sure he left. 3. I had to avoid certain streets when taking my girl to camp because we’d be accosted by mentally unwell people. We always walked on edge. These are just a few of the problems. Our girls (and moms) need to feel safe in LA. Right now, we don’t. Hence, the appeal of Spencer Pratt. But I’m not MAGA or anything….

In twisted times, when evil is “good” and good is “evil,”righteousness comes in the form of a “sinner.”
Mr PitBull Stories@MrPitbull07

October 9, 1974. Oskar Schindler collapsed on a street in West Germany. When authorities searched his apartment, they found almost nothing: unpaid bills, old letters, and money sent from Israel. For the last years of his life, the Jews he saved during the Holocaust were paying his rent and buying his food. Because Oskar Schindler died broke. And he was broke for one reason: he spent his fortune saving people. The strange part is that Schindler didn’t start as a hero. He was a Nazi Party member. A war profiteer. A heavy drinker. A serial adulterer. In 1939, when Germany invaded Poland, Schindler saw opportunity. He took over a Jewish-owned factory in Kraków and got rich producing enamelware for the German military using cheap Jewish labor. At first, survival wasn’t the goal. Profit was. Then he witnessed the liquidation of the Kraków Ghetto in 1943. He watched SS troops shoot civilians in the streets. Children ripped from parents. People hunted like animals. Something changed in him after that. Schindler began using his factory differently. He bribed Nazi officers constantly — with cash, alcohol, jewelry, anything they wanted — to keep his Jewish workers alive. He built a subcamp at his factory where conditions were far safer than the concentration camps nearby. He smuggled food. Bought medicine on the black market. Protected workers from deportation. Every bribe cost money. He kept paying anyway. Then came 1944. The Nazis started emptying camps and sending prisoners to Auschwitz. Schindler knew his workers would be killed if they stayed behind. So he made “the list.” 1,200 names. Men. Women. Children. The elderly. He claimed they were all essential workers needed for the war effort. It was a lie. But it saved 1,200 lives. When one train carrying the women was accidentally sent to Auschwitz, Schindler personally traveled there and bribed officials until they were released. By the end of the war, he had burned through his entire fortune. Everything was gone. After Germany collapsed, Schindler failed at almost every business he tried. Argentina failed. Farming failed. A cement company failed. Eventually he ended up alone, bankrupt, and forgotten in a small apartment in Frankfurt. Except by the people he saved. The “Schindlerjuden” supported him for the rest of his life. They mailed him money every month. Paid his bills. Kept him alive. And when he died in 1974, they buried him in Jerusalem. Not because he was perfect. He wasn’t. He began as a profiteer inside one of history’s worst regimes. But at some point, Oskar Schindler made a choice: keep the money, or save people. He chose people. And 1,200 descendants are alive today because he did.

EVERY JEW IN LOS ANGELES should vote @spencerpratt Spencer Pratt, in a private DM: - called antisemitism a "mind virus" - accused current leaders of playing "far too cute" with antisemitic tropes - promises more LAPD presence around Chabad centers - says DOJ should more aggressively prosecute antisemites

When you’re feeling down, waiting for an outcome, or living through a period of anxiety, know that Hashem always has your back. I hope my new song—adapted from a contemporary worship song with Hebrew lines from Tehillim—soothes you as much as it soothes me.

@tammydiamonds I have to say there are many playgrounds in Berlin, too! One has to wonder why more people don’t have more kids in Berlin. LA, on the other hand, hardly has any neighborhood playgrounds.

People often wonder what our secret is 🇮🇱. I’ll give you a clue: playgrounds 🛝 In Israel, kids are everywhere - and playgrounds are too. Not giant amusement parks, but tiny neighborhood playgrounds, pocket parks, swings between buildings, and shaded play areas every few blocks. Compared to cities like London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Rome, Tel Aviv is unusually dense with child - friendly public spaces relative to its size. That’s not accidental. Israel has one of the highest birth rates in the developed world, and you can feel it in the urban design. Our society is built around children and families. Kids are part of daily life here - they run through cafés, parks, sidewalks, beaches, and city squares. Children are hope. That’s part of Israeli resilience. A society that keeps investing in children, even under pressure, is a society that still believes in tomorrow. For all our chaos, intensity, and struggles, we are still building life. And maybe that’s why we keep winning.

Calling Israel a “settler-colonialist” state is not just factually and morally wrong — it’s a complete inversion of reality. Israel is arguably the most successful ANTI-colonial endeavour in history: a people returning to their ancestral homeland after 3,000 years of exile, conquest, and foreign domination by Romans, Arabs, Ottomans, Britons, and other assorted colonizers. quillette.com/2026/05/07/isr…

When I heard this beautiful, therapeutic song on YouTube, “Waiting,” I was astonished by its beauty and words of faith. And I needed to make it my own. So I matched its ideas with their original Hebrew counterparts in Tehillim (Psalms). Here’s the result: youtu.be/ZhsdofEqlkM?is…

🚨 FOR THE 9TH TIME, PALESTINIANS POISON LIVESTOCK OWNED BY JEWS For the ninth time in two years, a targeted poisoning attack has hit Jewish farmers. Overnight: • Terrorists infiltrated grazing land near the Allon Road • Nearly 10 water reservoirs were poisoned • Locks were broken to access secured water sources • Toxins mixed with oil were used to ensure livestock would ingest the poison first A shepherd caught it just in time. • Noticed something suspicious in the water • Stopped the flock from drinking • Within minutes, sheep began convulsing and foaming at the mouth Security forces later confirmed: Multiple water sources had been contaminated. This isn’t random vandalism. This is a calculated tactic. A growing form of terror targeting farmers, livestock, and livelihoods. It won’t make global headlines. So please share. My word. What a spontaneous burst of raw energy and political authenticity this is. Moral character and eloquent principle of the sort we haven't seen since Mrs Thatcher. No script. No rehearsed platitudes. No regard for focus-group sensitivities. Just authentic Kemi. Marvellous.

I never heard of this guy before. But he nails it. LA is my hometown. I used to love it. But it’s no longer the happy, shiny LA of my youth. Crime, homelessness, mediocrity, insane cost of living. It must change. I hope whoever this Pratt man is can make good on his promise.
