President Trump yesterday: "Their missiles are mostly decimated; they have some, they have probably 18, 19 percent, but not a lot by comparison to what they had." WaPo today: "Iran retains about 75 percent of its prewar inventories of mobile launchers and about 70 percent of its prewar stockpiles of missiles, a U.S. official said. The official said there is evidence that the regime has been able to recover and reopen almost all of its underground storage facilities, repair some damaged missiles and even assemble some new missiles that were nearly complete when the war began." washingtonpost.com/national-secur…

I sincerely do not understand the arguments that the US/Israel has "won" or is "winning" the Iran war. Strategically speaking, the most important outcomes of the war so far are that Iran controls the Strait and the Iranian government has become much more hardline. It has also probably gained more support from the Iranian population, i.e. it is more entrenched than it was before the war. Now, has the US killed vastly more Iranians (mostly civilians and conscripts) than Iranians have killed Americans? Sure. That's nothing of which to be proud. And more to the point, it doesn't entail the achievement of any strategic goals. If it did, the US won the wars in Afghanistan and Vietnam. Tactical achievements are not strategic victory.

Wall Street Journal reports, Trump preparing for a long blockade. This means: —Hormuz shut down for weeks — oil shortages rise — economic contraction starts And worse: Iran won’t buckle US pushing world economy over a cliff for no strategic gain

Almost every day I have people in my replies calling Democrats "Bolsheviks" or "commies" or "Marxists," and on those occasions I correct them, I often get ratiod in my own replies. Basically everything the right accuses the left of, they do themselves. The fact they can't see it tells you what a brain poison partisanship is.

I have no idea if the White House correspondents dinner was staged or real. But the fact that so many people believe it was staged, is incredibly damning of our government. No one believes anything anymore. The people have been lied to for too long.

Nobody wanted this war and nobody wants it to keep going. Well, a few people did, but these numbers are stark:

Nothing says "winning" like spending $100 billion on a military intervention while costing US consumers countless billions more in elevated prices just to ~restore Obama's Iran deal.

As confirmed by ABC News, Trump's naval blockade is proving to be a COMPLETE FAILURE. Multiple tankers have made it through the Strait of Hormuz. Trump has spent billions of taxpayer dollars for what has amounted to be a anouther failing strategy. Pete Hegseth should be fired. 😂

@DougLain That’s the big insight, unmentionable in polite company. The War is for Israel, at the cost of America’s citizens. Unless Trump changes course, the Republican Party might suffer a historic defeat in November. Also, support for Israel is collapsing: pewresearch.org/short-reads/20…
