Deeply disappointed by the lack of progress at Kisumu Central Police Station following the targeted attack on Senator Godfrey Osotsi. Despite clear images of the attackers circulating, no arrests have been made. There is evident interference from higher offices. This is not politics, it is brazen thuggery. I call on both the National Assembly and the Senate to urgently demand accountability. I will be back tomorrow to follow up on the arrests.

This evening i have visited my good friend Senator Godfrey Osotsi at Karen Hospital following the barbaric goon attack in Kusumu. I do not know why anyone in their right mind would attack Sen Osotsi, a very peaceful, measured and moderate leader. As i have been warning, the now liberalised goon market in Kenya is a serious threat to our security and democracy. I comdemn this attack in the strongest terms possible.
