Your race, sexuality, sex, or any combination of the prior have zero bearing on how I treat you in general, impersonal interactions.

@RAZ0RFIST The one good thing that Jon Stewart did was get Tucker's CNN show cancelled by telling him that he was a hack.

@AndresJanson @bernielomax @blacknredtext @Epicartworks My first was Ultima 8 — another deeply flawed Ultima which I nevertheless really enjoyed. It had great art design and music. A very atmospheric game. Gameplay was jank, though! 😅 If I had to pick a favourite, it'd be Ultima 5.

@nulltrace @SandyofCthulhu No, only private craftsmen do that and not everyone is a craftsman. That's why we market and sell our labour: the application of our skills and efforts over time. Large business exists as the provider of capital and administration. Profit incentivises such investment.

I assume this guy is trolling because “obey or starve” has been communism’s mission statement from the beginning. Except at the times when it is literally “obey AND starve.”

@SandyofCthulhu A GPS tracker would work. It could even contain sensors to detect when a bird lands.

@nulltrace @SandyofCthulhu So you think that people should take on the responsibility of marketing and selling the "fruits of their labour?"

@Ostsol @SandyofCthulhu That's what happens now when you are paid a wage. If people owned the fruits of their labor, they would likely produce more of it.

@travelingflying Oh great job Taya. You convinced me of the wisdom and righteousness of the US and Israeli assault upon Iran in 2026 by playing a video of a guy in 2001 talking about events in 1786.

Christopher Hitchens: ”In 1786, when the United States was barely a country, it was having its sailors taken as slaves by the Barbary states, the states of the Ottoman Empire and North Africa. Tripoli, shores of Tripoli. Ships stopped, its crews carried off into slavery. We estimate 1.5 million European and American slaves taken between 1750 and 1815. Jefferson and Adams went to their ambassador in London and said, why do you do this to us? The United States has never had a quarrel with the Muslim world of any kind. We weren't in the crusades. We weren't at war with Spain. Why do you do this to our people and our ships? Why do you plunder and enslave our people? The ambassador said very plainly, Mr. Abdul Rahman said, because the Quran gives us permission to do so, because you are infidels, and that's our answer. Jefferson said, well, in that case, I will send a navy which will crush your state, which he did. Islamic fundamentalism is not created by American democracy. It's a lie to say so. It's a masochistic lie, and it excuses those who are the real criminals, and blames us for the attacks made upon us.”

@nulltrace @SandyofCthulhu "From each according to this ability..." When people's needs are guaranteed, there is an incentive not to put forth anything but the minimum effort they can get away with. The result is abysmal productivity.
