@ReturnOfMaul @Trysovu @OlivieriLaw The interim WBO title was ordered between Joshua Buatsi & Willy Hutchinson which was on the Dubois-AJ card. Buatsi defended the belt in a voluntary against Smith, that fight was not ordered by the WBO.

@Trysovu @OutBoxing_ @OlivieriLaw It's so strange the WBO ordered an interim title fight on the same card where Beterbiev was fighting a mandated undisputed rematch (and defending the actual title), which trumps mandatories by WBO rules. Thus, they should not have been electing a mandatory till we had the result.

In light of David Morrell’s TKO loss vs Zak Chelli, the WBO Championship Committee will convene next week to determine the appropriate course of action regarding Callum Smith’s mandatory status. Congrats to Chelli.
