@LappingJamey @ParnanenSari @NHL_Muse There should not be refs of players countries. It should be neutral in every case. The best team should win by playing.
English

@OutiTor @ParnanenSari @NHL_Muse We all know you wouldn't mention refs if you won with 2 Finnish refs.
English

@emanningwrites @PederSthlm Well, who knows. There is big money with NHL and IIH embedded with ads and sponsorship. Unfortunately it’s not only about sport.
English

@PederSthlm @OutiTor Did Canada get to select the referees for this game? I didn't know that.
English

@LappingJamey @ParnanenSari @NHL_Muse Discussion of the game is needed to avoid this kind of unfair situation with refs in the future. It’s not good for ice hockey.
English

@ParnanenSari @OutiTor @NHL_Muse is the losers argument.
Doesn't matter what you say. You can scream till you are blue in the face, won't change the fact. Game is over and done with.
English

@LappingJamey @ParnanenSari @NHL_Muse Brad Marchant is well known for interference style ”pest-like approach”. Not a great sportsmanship.
English

@emanningwrites @PederSthlm Refs were Canadian, line men from USA and Denmark. There are differences between the roles on ice.
English

@PederSthlm There were 4 officials on the ice. Two were Canadian.
English

@emanningwrites Refs should be neutral, not from the same country as the teams.
English

@worldhockeyrpt When the refs are not neutral, there is a problem.
English

@ywgjet @MollieeWalkerr And now in USA-Slovakia game, 3 refs are from USA. Ridiculous!
English

@ywgjet @MollieeWalkerr In this set up with 2 Canadian refs, can you really trust on refs’ neutrality. NHL and IIF will get nice money from ads in finals when Canada or/and USA are playing.
Unfortunately it’s not about sport, it’s about money.

@ywgjet @MollieeWalkerr If the refs are decent there’s no need to challenge. This time 2 Canadian refs…good hearing, bad eyesight.
English

@MollieeWalkerr If it was so clearly goalie interference, why didn’t your team challenge the goal?
English

@OutiTor @IIHFHockey @HockeyCanada Oh give it up. You actually believe Finland had a chance in this game? Outshot 39-17, Canada dominated possession, only for Saros it would have been a blowout. You should be happy it was as close as it was.
English

@markr295 @IIHFHockey @HockeyCanada You said it. The interesting question is who got paid and by whom.
English

@OutiTor @IIHFHockey @HockeyCanada Best players in the world and best refs in the world. Funny how that works.
English

@MikovitchKevin @BR_OpenIce Well, 2 Canadian refs in Canada game…
English

@IIHFHockey @HockeyCanada We gave those Finnish clowns a 2 goal head start and they still couldn't beat us 😂
English

@nytimes @TheAthletic With help of 2 Canadian referees. How is it possible to have that set up in the game? Sad and makes think about who is “sponsored” by whom.
English

From @TheAthletic: Team Canada came back from 2-0 down to score with just 35 seconds left to beat Finland in the men's hockey semifinals. They await the winner of USA vs. Slovakia in the Olympic gold medal game. nyti.ms/4aMFyMA
