Trump's tariffs aren't meant to "punish" Canada, Mexico, or Panama. They're about the American people, our national security, and the end of the post-World War II order. Trump is resetting the system. But instead of entering into an even bigger global "Great Reset" system, he is putting America first. Just like the leaders of Canada, Mexico, the EU, and all the rest should do for their own countries. We can't afford to be the world's babysitter anymore. We can't keep writing blank checks to foreign countries while our own people struggle. WE MUST DOWNSIZE our nation's spending. Why are we still living under trade laws that were written right after World War II to help rebuild the European and German car companies?! The post-WWII order, where America props up the global economy, defends half the planet, and underwrites everyone else's welfare state, is DEAD. It's been dead for years. We just haven't held the funeral yet. President Trump's job is to make the hard choices. Our job is to support him, even when it hurts. Especially when it hurts. That doesn't mean we have to follow him blindly. Trump is the best negotiator in my lifetime and he has EARNED my respect and trust. I still worry about the effects of tarrifs, but I see what he is doing and why he is doing it: This may be our last chance and we cannot let others see us blink. Because this isn't about politics. It's about survival. The world as we knew it is over. That's not a bad thing. It's an opportunity to rebuild something better, something stronger, something real. The question is: are we brave enough to face it?
