@OverTackle @CmonMan187 @RyanDivish Exactly the A's are notorious for not spending. They up their spending a bit but its still way below the Mariners and yet they are outperforming them. The Mariners are spending more for less production. That sits squarely on management and the front office.

I have said so many times that ownership should spend more than it does. Until it does, then the front office is limited. Every team has a budget. But the Mariners should be higher. So you can sign players to extensions and bring in some high-level players.
But I also don’t write columns. I don’t write my opinion. And even if I did, i wouldn’t expect it to have any effect on the front office.

Idk about “fix the roster” but the Mariners are 1.5 GB in the division and lead the league in 1-run losses.
Everyone has injuries, but yes, a lot of the struggles can be attributed to having two All-Stars on the IL.
Cal and Donny are extremely important players to this team.

If Rob Refsnyder were not making $6mil there is no way the @Mariners would have him on the roster still. If he were any other journeyman who broke camp with them after ST he’d have already been DFA’d. That’s bad process. It’s sunk cost, move on & prioritize winning.
