1776 Energy At Overton Threads, our mission is to change the national discourse around how we govern ourselves. Our nation was built on courage, a desire for truth, and the radical idea that a government should perform the will of the people, and that anything less is tyranny.  Too often, the loudest voices are the ones demanding more government, more control, and more waste. We stand for the opposite: A Limited Government that Enforces Basic Laws — one that supports the will of the people, not bureaucratic bloat. Cravenly politicians have demonstrated an egregious level of waste and impropriety when spending our tax dollars, and their solution when running out of funds is always the same - more taxes so they can keep spending.  Enough.
Freedom of Speech — A people are only free when they are free to speak their mind. Rulers who fear truth will always try to silence it, labeling what they cannot control as “misinformation.” This is tyranny disguised as protection, and it must be resisted at every turn.
Fiscal Responsibility — Our national debt has reached the point of criminal negligence, while reckless money printing has sucked the value from our pay. This is intolerable, and those whose cowardice and ineptitude have led us here must be held to account.
Environmental Stewardship Without Tyranny — We love nature and believe in clean air, clean water, and responsible stewardship of the Earth. But schemes like carbon taxes are not about saving the planet - they’re about taxing and controlling people. Fear-driven policies that strangle prosperity while doing little for the environment are a scam. True conservation comes from innovation and corporate responsibility, not government overreach.
Demand Term Limits — We are ruled by geriatric career politicians who cling to power for decades, insulated from the consequences of their failures. This is not representation; it is entrenchment. The Founders never intended for public office to become a lifelong throne. Power must be returned to the people by ensuring fresh voices, new leadership, and accountability. Term limits are not just a safeguard against corruption - they are a necessary reset button for a government that has forgotten who it serves.
Purpose & Meaning for All Americans — Human beings were created to build, contribute, and thrive. A government that pays people to do nothing robs them of purpose, agency, and hope, while stealing from those who work hard. Independence means personal responsibility, and with it comes dignity. Americans deserve the chance to stand tall, not be held down by dependence.
How do we bring about change? By sharing our message everywhere we go. By no longer tolerating the status quo. By making sure our elected representatives know we demand change, and that there are too many of us to ignore. Take a picture wearing your new shirt, and tag your reps on social media. Momentum builds behind the truth only when enough people are willing to speak it. Wear your message wherever people need to be reminded that resisting tyranny is the foundation of our country. Wear it anywhere the truth isn't welcome. Wear it wherever a revolt is due.

We build the transcontinental railroad with zero income tax. Companies received government loans (which they repaid in full) and allowed private citizens to invest so that may Americans could share in the prosperity the railroad brought. Loans were handed out based on completed per-mile tracks - not just handed out with no oversight. In the 1860s they got thousands of miles of track built at zero taxpayer expresen. Today, we spend $70 billion stolen from taxpayers and get zero usable miles of rail. It’s theft, followed by fraud, abuse and waste. We must stop tolerating it.

I believe that most taxation is theft and it should be eliminated. I also believe that if taxes are to exist (and they do in most places), they should be spent wisely to the benefit of the population. High taxes + bad public infrastructure & services is the worst of both worlds

@MmisterNobody The 40% they steal through theft is outrageous but manageable. It’s the 97% they’ve stolen through money printing since 1913 that really makes us slaves.

@C_3C_3 No American should be forced to pay for these things. We must end the income tax because it is theft, and because it funds our destruction.

Are you sitting down? There are 2 million NGOs/nonprofits in America that handle $3.7 trillion per year. The American people pay for at least 1/2 of it. How many other SPLC like groups? We’re being robbed to pay for the destruction of America. It all needs to end.

@CynicalPublius @Resist_CBDC To those fully engulfed in the leftist psyop, the only crime here is pointing out the SLPC’s transgressions. Expect the left to pass laws making it illegal to investigate non-profits. Such is their commitment to the lie.

You need to understand the Democrat mind. They don't care if the Southern Poverty Law Center committed wire fraud. They don't care if the SPLC made false official statements to the federal government. They don't care if the SPLC engaged in conspiracy to commit money laundering. They don't care because to them, the ends always justifies the means. Rank-and-file Democrats see the SPLC as being virtuous, so therefore they don't care about the crimes. The Democrat leadership sees the SPLC as one of the very most effective tools they have to achieve and maintain power, and since power is all they care about, they don't care about the crimes.

The Marxist barista thinks he “does all the work” and therefore it is injustice that he doesn’t keep all the profit. In reality, the real work has already occurred. The capital was raised, the location was found, the suppliers were negotiated with, the brand was created, the system was built, and he just shows up afterwards. Because he cannot even conceive of the initiative and courage it takes to create the system he finds, his is incapable of assigning it the correct value.

The Rational Animal 🤔
The Rational Animal 🤔@theobjectivist·
Some of us understand the labor theory of value just perfectly. It is statists in the form of Marxists like @BladeoftheS , who don't understand reality, reason, morality, individual rights, or basic economics. Profit is not stolen labor. It is the return on judgment, risk, and capital that made the work possible in the first place. The man who identified the opportunity, raised the funds, organized the enterprise, and bore the loss if it failed didn't "do no work." He did the work that made all other work possible. Marx's error is epistemological before it is economic. He treats physical labor as the source of value while ignoring the mind that directs it. A ditch dug in the wrong place has negative value. Labor without thought is not productivity. It is motion. "Split it among the workers" assumes the enterprise creates itself, the market appears by magic, and risk carries no cost. It doesn't. Someone paid for that. Someone gambled on it. That someone is owed his return. Without that someone you wouldn't be able to post this gibberish.
BladeoftheSun@BladeoftheS

People don't understand Marx's theory of Labour so here it is. In short, there should be no profit for people who don't do any work. It should all be split among the workers. You would think Capitalists would love that. But of course they hate it.

@C_3C_3 Not only should NGO’s not receive taxpayer money, but the federal government should also not receive taxpayer money. The only form of taxation even remotely aligned with our founding principles is a consumption tax involving tariffs on limited goods.

Property taxes are acutely morally evil because they force you to participate in a system whether you consent or not. Want to just live on your land, raise a family, farm and ranch your own food? Nope, the government will come and confiscate your home if you don’t participate in the fiat system they’ve created (which is built on fraud via printing money from thin air). Want to live as you choose? Illegal. We are no longer a free nation of liberty, and it all begins with immoral taxation.
Renee@TexasCowgrl1111

Hypothetically…….. I’m being taxed on money I never made. Let that sink in. If I bought my property outright for $60,000 in 2009 Now the county says it’s worth $246,000. Did I sell it? No. Did I make a profit? No. Did I get a check for $246,000? No. But my taxes jumped like I did. That’s the problem. This isn’t income. This isn’t cash. This is a number someone decided on paper — and now I’m being billed for it. If my stock portfolio doubles, I don’t pay taxes until I sell. If my income doesn’t increase, I don’t magically owe more income tax. So why does owning a home work differently? Why am I being taxed on unrealized gains? A house isn’t just an investment — it’s where people live. And this system means you can do everything right, pay off your home, and still get squeezed harder every year because of a number you never turned into money. You don’t truly own something if you can be taxed out of it. This isn’t about “services” or “inflation.” It’s about being charged for value you never received. And people are starting to notice. This needs to be on everyone’s mind✔️

We call it “paying taxes” but it’s truly no different now than “paying tribute.” Just like in 1000 AD, when an emperor commands a sufficient army, he can demand tribute from all around him. Pay the tribute, or die, or be sold into slavery. That is what we pay each April 15. We pay to avoid imprisonment. We don’t pay for services - we simply hand over our money to enrich those in power so that we don’t end up in prison. The courage and boldness of our founding fathers is needed once again to save the messes from tyranny.

There are two paths before us on the age of AI and robotics making most labor unnecessary: 1) More government control. UBI. Social credit. Say the wrong thing and lose your income. Less freedom. More social engineering. 2) More freedom. Free trade. Less tax. Less government. More abundance. Prices so inexpensive that anyone can live like an elite of today. Guess which one the elites are pushing for. Guess which one we must fight like hell for.
