When the government and so called ‘experts’ are telling us even if we stick to the rules and get vaccinated like good little boys and girls, the chances are restrictions wont be lifted anyway, whats the point?

@OxShire @silas_trace I have been at home since March too. Looking at the rest of the street I see less than 50% of people sticking to the rules. Hence no lockdown.

#ZeroCovid isn't going to happen in the UK. Too many people think short term. Parent want kids going to school. Tories want money NOW. Many people cannot stand lockdown. If only we could see beyond the aims of tomorrow and look at a 3 months ahead.

@RainbowManInUK @silas_trace Everytime people are caught outside going somewhere can the police prove they aren’t on an essential trip? No Do the police have the time and resources to find out if the people they’re with aren’t in their household or support bubble? No.

And, like it or not, we treat people with some dignity, no matter their crime. Its why Peter Sutcliffe got to die of natural causes, same with people like Ian Brady + Myra Hindley.

@RainbowManInUK @silas_trace Most people who got that fine would challenge it. The police would spend more money battling challenges against fines and reversing fines that they would gain from fining people.

@silas_trace @OxShire Yes £5000 fines would be suitable. £100,000 if your income is higher than £100,000 per year if you break lockdown while you shouldn't.

@RainbowManInUK @silas_trace Haven’t had a lockdown yet...? With the exception of going to the supermarket I haven’t left the house in months, because all my hobbies and interests have been banned. If vaccines don’t work, open up anyway. It’s worth it.

@OxShire @silas_trace In my opinion we haven't had lockdown yet. Only a half baked lockdown. Hopefully the vaccinations will work but I am not 100% convinced on that. To many potential risks. - only lasting 5 to 6 months - experiments with skipping second dose - new variations that may not be covered

@RainbowManInUK @silas_trace Even if that’s true, more lockdown doesn’t achieve anything now. Vaccinate the vulnerable. As soon as that’s done, list restrictions. It’s the only way out of this in which all our futures aren’t completely ruined.
