Small minded does not even begin to explain the situation we face.
What blows my mind is that dismantling our scientific institutions doesn’t even serve his obsession with China, never mind national security (including food security).
While the US scientific advantage is erased, China invests in science. China is going to eclipse the US in every scientific domain the we defund. The effect of this is obvious. We will lose any edge in innovation and no one will need us.
Can anyone who supports Trump explain the logic of defunding science?
