@TheZeitgeistNZ You've lost the plot. We are capable of making our own judgements about people. Resorting to kindergarten level discourse is a huge turn off. It's obvious HolyHeka is a NZ First advocate. But it adds much needed balance to combat the ocean of MSM vilification of RW parties.

HolyHeka, otherwise known as Rhys Williams, is NOT an immigration patriot, and nor are many of the other people trying to organise opposition to the India FTA. I have talked to Rhys in person several times. He has made comments like “New Zealanders have the bloods of the world running through their veins” in approving tones. What he is doing is using the issue cynically to drive support to NZ First. The India FTA in fact does bugger all to increase immigration, and NZ First don’t yet have any real immigration policy. This whole thing is completely cynical and Rhys is full of shit. I hate to do this, as Rhys has done good work organising the Inflection Point NZ conference in the past. But it is time now to call out frauds and liars.

@donmcgowan Fuckn hell I'm not reading all that! I managed to read past the 2nd paragraph but quickly realised that paragraph is the essence of your message. "I can already see the replies forming". That rigid premise immediately raises 🚩 "Im open minded but anyone disagreeing is wrong"

Our media fixation with Keir Starmer is becoming a literal drag on the country now. As I write this, I can already see the replies forming below, accusing me of being a Labour shill etc. but, believe it or not, I am not. Maybe it's worth setting this out — I have no party affiliation. None. I'm not 'on the right' … but that's as far as it goes. There are policies and people that I admire across the Lib Dems, Greens and Labour. Conversely, there are policies and people I am vehemently against within each of those parties as well. There are some decent Conservatives left but fewer and fewer in frontline politics and I can have excellent discussions with those moderate Tories that remain. Where my line in the sand is drawn though, as I'm sure you're all aware, is the far-right. Reform UK and Restore Britain. I have no common ground with their populism — I see through the propaganda. This doesn't mean that I think every member of Reform UK is a bad person, far from it, but I cannot rationalise their top-line bravado into credible politics. So, with all that being said, I think the witch-hunt of Keir Starmer is distracting the public from some far more serious crises. Since the very day Starmer took office, there has been an onslaught from the media; desperation to try and topple him and his principal team. This played out successfully with Angela Rayner, and they have been vicious and relentless pursuing Rachel Reeves. I listened to Paul Brand on LBC at the weekend continuously comparing Starmer to Boris Johnson in terms of sleaze. Have we collectively lost our minds? There is no other Prime Minister in history that compares to Johnson for scandal. The elephant in the room — Peter Mandelson. But is it really an elephant still? Clearly, Starmer should never have brought the Prince of Darkness into his team, that was a madness and severe failing of judgement. One for which he has accepted responsibility and apologised on multiple occasions. The vetting process appears to be, pretty much, a non-story, despite what Dan Hodges and GB News are shovelling out. So … we should be moving on. Shouldn't we? Kemi Badenoch and her famously robust judgement felt not yesterday, and spent more of her diminishing political currency by pushing Starmer with six questions at PMQs on the subject. She was met with a well briefed lawyer, that, in all honesty, made her look a bit silly for continuing her defeated line of questioning. While this continues to dominate the headlines, other far more crucial issues are being missed — we're going to run low on fuel soon, the cost of living is about to skyrocket, holidays will be cancelled imminently. But mainly ... the cost of living is about to skyrocket. We saw in yesterday's inflation rise that food is already moving upward, if Trump's ludicrous war in Iran continues, then we're all going to suffer the consequences. Surely, this is a far more pressing matter? One in which the government should be fully engaged in order to help protect the public — it's number one duty. It is very telling that Reform UK are spending very little time on the Starmer issue. They sent Lee Anderson out to raise this issue, for goodness’ sake. LEE ANDERSON. Farage is hyper focused on the local elections, safe in the knowledge that the media is obsessing over Keir Starmer, once again. He's making hay while the S*n shines on Labour. Jeez! This went on a bit, sorry, but it feels critical to me. We are being led around by the nose by the legacy media outlets. They smell blood in the water, but I really don't think the story is there. Not yet. And while the sharks circle, Reform UK are flying under the radar, ready to swoop on the local elections [sorry for the weird mixed metaphors — it's early!]. Have a lovely sunny day. 🌞

@NJ_Timothy I wouldn't say they never bothered. People celebrated w quiet sombre respect & reflection. Like Anzac day. But our spineless leaders have made it a necessity to be loud & proud bc they have diluted our heritage w shameful disrespect. They take it all forgranted. Unforgivable.

The English never bothered much with St George’s Day in the past. But asymmetric multiculturalism, the ideological assaults on our history, culture and institutions, and the insistence that our way of life amounts to nothing more than “inclusivity”, means more people want to celebrate who we are. Identity isn’t about Keir Starmer’s values - just as it’s not about mine. There are values held by many that are not welcome in this country - it is true. But that’s not what he means because he’s too cowardly to confront the extremism that is changing our country for the worse and for example driving British Jews to other countries. If Starmer is to avoid being a “plastic patriot” - the phrase he uses to attack others today - he should repent and celebrate the ancient the laws, norms, literature, history, institutions, and culture that have made us who we are over a thousand years. He doesn’t, because his nihilistic “progressive” ideology means he loathes many of those things. That’s why more people care about St George’s Day than they once did. They want their country back. x.com/keir_starmer/s…

In the London borough where I live, the young white middle class are - madly - voting ‘Palestine’. As one Labour councillor told me: “When I asked one person why they were voting Green they said, ‘Palestine.’ I said, ‘You know these are local elections?’ And she just replied, ‘Yeah but Palestine.’ “There was another guy and when I asked how he was voting he pointed to a Palestine sticker on his door. I said, ‘OK what does that mean?’ He said ‘Green’. When I reminded him these were local elections, he said, ‘I don’t really use local services.’’’ I can’t imagine being this thick. Vote Greens, get racists. Thank you to all the activists I spoke to. Piece below:

Yes, that's true. And do you seriously not think that is the case in every country? Do you think it is not the case in Australia? I know it is. That is not the point. The point is that most kiwis want to work for their money. They want to support their families. I have worked hard all my life and done 2 jobs many times. Don't insult hard working people with talking about a minority.

In his interview over Shane Jones' butter chicken comment, Luxon was gushing about Indians - how they work 2 or 3 jobs to buy a house, how they work hard and are a great role model for Kiwis. Wait, what?? The PM of NZ just insulted his own people, insinuating they don't work hard. So it's fine to slag off kiwis, not not Indians apparently. We also don't carry knives like the Sikhs in this video. He clearly prefers Indians to us. How about he immigrates and goes into politics in India? And instead, we will have a PM like Winston Peters who has worked for kiwis his whole life. #nzpol

Dry dripping on bread, with a pinch of salt, was, for approximately four hundred years, one of the most common things a British child ate when he came in from school. The dripping was what was left in the pan after the Sunday roast. Beef fat, mostly, sometimes with a dark jelly at the bottom where the juices had settled. Your mother spooned it into a white enamel bowl, covered it with a plate, and kept it on the cold shelf in the pantry. It lasted a week. Sometimes two. It fried the Monday bubble and squeak, the Tuesday eggs, the Wednesday onions. On Thursday afternoon, before it ran out, you got a slice of bread spread with the stuff, a pinch of salt cracked on top, and that was tea. It was a treat. It was also just food. A child in 1930 would have looked at you blankly if you had suggested that beef dripping on bread was in any way remarkable. It was what was in the bowl. It was free. It tasted of Sunday lunch three days later. Beef dripping is approximately 50% monounsaturated fat, 40% saturated fat, and carries the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K from the pasture the cow grazed on. The cow ate grass. The grass had been growing on British soil since the end of the last Ice Age. The fat was the end product of ten thousand years of continuous ruminant grazing. A slice of bread and dripping delivered, for roughly the price of the bread, a dose of fat-soluble vitamins and usable calories that the rest of the British afternoon was going to need. Nobody got heart disease from bread and dripping. The British cardiovascular mortality rate of 1930, when almost every family ate dripping several times a week, was a fraction of what it is now. The British obesity rate of 1930 was essentially zero. The British type 2 diabetes rate was so low that the Royal College of Physicians considered the condition a medical curiosity. Then the dripping was quietly removed. First by margarine, invented in 1869 by a French chemist trying to feed the army, mass-marketed in Britain after the First World War as a modern, clean, scientific alternative to animal fat. Then by Crisco-style vegetable shortenings in the 1930s. Then, decisively, from the 1960s onwards, by the dietary advice that saturated animal fat caused heart disease. The advice was wrong. The research behind it was flawed, selectively published, and in some cases deliberately manipulated. The corrections have been appearing in the peer-reviewed literature for thirty years. The public-health guidelines have not been updated. Bread and dripping was replaced, in the British kitchen, by margarine on bread. Then by low-fat spread on bread. Then by skimmed-milk spread on industrially processed bread from the Chorleywood process. Then by a plastic tub of something labelled "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter," made from a blend of palm oil, rapeseed oil, emulsifiers, and flavouring, spread on a slice of Kingsmill so pale and so soft it could be balled up in one hand. The cardiovascular disease rates climbed through the same decades. The obesity rates climbed through the same decades. The type 2 diabetes rates went from medical curiosity to national crisis through the same decades. The fat your great-grandmother scraped out of the Sunday roast pan and spread on her child's tea was never the problem. The problem was what replaced it. Industrial seed oil, chemically extracted from seeds using hexane solvent, deodorised, bleached, and sold in a plastic bottle as a health food. A substance no human population had consumed in meaningful quantities before 1910, and which now makes up roughly 20% of the total calories in the average British diet. The dripping bowl on the cold shelf was a complete piece of nutritional engineering, evolved over centuries, running on the natural waste stream of the Sunday roast, costing nothing, delivering real nutrients, and causing none of the conditions it was eventually blamed for. It was thrown out of the British kitchen on the basis of a mistake. The mistake has never been corrected. The bowl is still at your grandmother's house, probably, at the back of a cupboard, unused since about 1985. The cow that built Britain is still in the field.

A few thoughts; Looks like an a typical Green, but let’s not stereotype. Actually upon researching he wants to; ‼️Abolish Prisons, 🚨legalise all drugs like Meth and Fentanyl. This fool and their collective also want a 50mph speed limit on motorways. These confused and indoctrinated people are Communists hiding behind a thin veneer of green.
