This is why I keep saying that you shouldn't build infrastructure just for the sake of it. Metros in Tier 2/3 cities in China are running in heavy losses as well. Things are so bad in parts of China that they're forced to cut down travel time/AC to lessen deficit.

France × Germany Franco-Prussian War, WWI, WWII generational beef. England × France Hundred Years’ War (yes, it lasted ~116 years). Germany × Poland WWII began here. Brutal history. Russia × literally everyone nearby Sweden, Poland, Finland, Germany, Napoleon, Hitler… take a number. Spain × France Napoleonic invasions + border wars. Infact Russia & Ukrainse are still at war. Does that mean an Indian can come and take over them? If you & your brother are fighting over your dad's property, can I as an outsider claim the property for me?

Even if the meme were true in every detail, it still would not say what you think it says. Tribes fighting over territory does not make a continent "up for grabs" to a foreign empire. It does not turn invasion into arbitration. It does not turn genocide into "just another land dispute." Yes, Native nations had wars. So did Europeans. No one argues that because France once fought England, China could show up, wipe them both out, and call Paris "unclaimed." What existed in North America was shifting borders, shared hunting grounds, treaties, diplomacy, and conflict between peoples who all belonged to the land. What arrived with Europe was something categorically different: Permanent settler rule. Mass displacement. Forced marches. Boarding schools. Legal doctrines that declared Native people "extinct" on paper so their land could be seized. "Others fought before we got there" has never been a moral defense for ethnic cleansing. It is the kind of argument you can only make if you believe some peoples are history, and others are property.
