Big scoop from me: Anthropic's Mythos AI model -- the cybersecurity model it says is so powerful it can enable dangerous cyberattacks -- is being accessed by unauthorized users. Gift link! bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

@trq212 Great article! FYI the blog version doesn't have the new introduction. I really appreciate these sorts of tips. Everything in it was very understandable except for the "summarize from here" paragraph - I had to look that one up in the online docs.

@Google @GeminiApp Does it support Intel Macs? When I download it says my Mac (2019 Intel MBP running 15.7.5) is not supported.

The @GeminiApp is now available natively on Mac, bringing you a faster, more integrated way to get AI help right on your desktop. 🍎 Now Gemini is just a shortcut away (Option + Space) for instant help, without ever needing to switch tabs.

@joshwoodward Is it Apple Silicon only, or a glitch in terms of which version the site gave me?

I've decided to leave OpenAI. I'm incredibly proud of all the work I've been part of here, from helping create the reasoning paradigm with @MillionInt, scaling up test-time compute with @polynoamial, working on RL algorithms with my fellow strawberries, shipping o1-preview (which started life as of one of my derisking runs), to post-training o1 and o3 with @ericmitchellai, @yanndubs and many others. I'm most proud of having led the post-training team here for the last year -- the team has done incredible work and shipped some really smart models, including GPT-5, 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3-Codex. OpenAI has genuinely some of the most talented researchers I have ever met, and I have learned more than I could have imagined knowing since I joined as a new grad. I want to thank @markchen90 @FidjiSimo @sama @merettm for all their support over my time here, and too many collaborators to name for the insights, ideas, and just plain fun we have had working together. After leading post-training for a year, though, I'm longing to start fresh and return to IC research work. I've been thinking about going back to technical research for quite some time, and I genuinely believe my colleagues and team here are set up to succeed going forward without me. I'm personally very excited for my next chapter -- I'm proud to be joining @AnthropicAI to get back into the weeds in RL research, and I'm looking forward supporting my friends there at this important time. Many of people I most trust and respect have joined Anthropic over the last couple of years, and I'm excited to work with them again. I have also been very impressed with Anthropic's talent, research taste and values, and I'm excited to be part of what the company does next!

@evernote @fedesimio For Question 8 (by @staceyharmon) I know it's not currently in progress but I would really appreciate the return of site-specific web clipper formats for Gmail and LinkedIn. Probably my #1 feature request.

@staceyharmon @fedesimio I appreciate you asking this question and I'm glad it was answered, though I'm disappointed in the response! I'd love to see the return of better site-specific web clipper captures (Gmail and LinkedIn for my use, but I know there were others).

@fedesimio Can we look forward to any innovation in terms of capture to Evernote? I like to see web clipper innovation (speed, maybe AI at point of capture, a return to pretty auto-formatting of notes from key sites/tools). Also capture to Evernote by talking to my phone and watch.

@GatorNationFBPC Curious what you would do! I have strong thoughts but will save them... In the game Jedd Fisch chose to send the kicker out there and he made the FG. WA wins 27-17.

@GatorNationFBPC To effectively ice the game, do you a) kick a FG or b) go for a first down? Necessary context: The WA FG kicker has been VERY erratic lately - missed 3 FG last game, and in this game missed a short kick early, had a second FG blocked, then FINALLY made a FG on his third attempt.

@fedesimio Is shipping this major feature going to free up resources to fix some longstanding bugs? e.g. Android text editor (MANY bugs), using desktop offline, Chrome web clipper for Gmail, desktop search, and more.

*UPDATED* (and still true) When you build "luxury" new apartments in big numbers, the influx of supply puts downward pressure on rents at all price points -- even in the lowest-priced Class C rentals. Here's evidence of that happening right now: There are 21 U.S. markets where Class C rents are falling at least 4% YoY. What is the common denominator? You guessed it: Supply. Of those, all but one have supply expansion rates ABOVE the U.S. average. There's no demand issue in any of these 12 markets. They're all among the absorption leaders nationally -- places like Austin, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Raleigh/Durham, Atlanta, Tampa, Dallas, Charlotte, Orlando, etc. But they all have a lot of new supply. Simply put: Supply is doing what it's supposed to do when we build A LOT of apartments. It's a process academics call "filtering." New pricey apartments are pulling up higher-income renters out of moderately priced Class B units, which in turn cut rents to lure Class C renters, and on down the line it goes. Less anyone still in doubt, here's another factoid: Where are Class C rents growing most? You guessed it (I hope!) -- in markets with little new supply. Class C rent growth topped 4% in 22 of the nation's 150 largest metro areas, and nearly all of them have limited new apartment supply. Most new construction tends to be Class A "luxury" because that's what pencils out due to high cost of everything from land to labor to materials to impact fees to insurance to taxes, etc. So critics will say: "We don't need more luxury apartments!" Yes, you do. Because when you build "luxury" apartments at scale, you will put downward pressure on rents at all price points. Spread the word.

@fedesimio @martyn_amos @evernote Many bugs, but I'll limit to my top 3: 1. The desktop Chrome web clipper is broken (again) on Gmail. 2. Desktop web clipper corrupts PDF files. 3. Writing/editing text is highly broken (multiple bugs) on Android devices with Gboard keyboard.
