Truly outstanding news. The release of 123 political prisoners from Belarus, including Václav Havel Prize winners Ales Bialiatski and Maria Kalesnikava, is a moment of relief, dignity and hope. They should never have been imprisoned. I thank the administration of the United States, who made this possible. Families are reunited today. We will keep working at @PACE_News for every political prisoner to be free.

The release of 52 political prisoners from Belarus, including 2 Polish nationals, is very welcome news! I commend the efforts of the US negotiating delegation. Over 1,000 people still remain unjustly detained. I reiterate the @PACE_news call for their release, and for an end to repressive measures in Belarus.
