My flight’s delayed so I guess I should tell you about my Charleston trip. I love this place. I mean seriously, I’d move tomorrow. The food is great, the people are nice, the streets are clean, the houses are charming, it’s near a beach and has an international airport. What more could you want? Well, a professional sports team would be cool. I’m actually surprised they don’t have one. I could see it in about 10-15 years. They’re already expanding the airport and there’s a decent amount of residential construction. This was my second time here, but my first time really exploring. I spent the entire first day walking around town. Did about four (4) miles. Checked out the City Market, saw Rainbow Road, shopped on King Street, and saw the Pineapple Fountain. Throughout the day we stopped in and out of bars taking down different local beers. Charleston drunk is my new favorite drunk. Seeing the touristy stuff is all fine and dandy, but I don’t know that it’s necessary. Similar to NYC - the best thing you can do is just walk around aimlessly while stopping to eat and drink. I was here for 3 nights and 4 days, and it wasn’t enough. I’d like to come back and see Folly Beach, Isles of Palms, Sullivans Island and do some sort of activity on the water. Oh and did I mention the food is good? Feels like a culinary town. There’s a Michelin star restaurant everywhere you turn. So yea…consider me a big Charleston guy.

Good News: The Red Sox announced that Curtis Mead’s X-rays were negative. No fracture.
