@sabeer Agree, India does not lack creativity or talent. It lacks a system that genuinely rewards it. Good mentorship and honest support can make a huge difference by helping talent grow instead of forcing it to struggle against the system. Some industrialists are trying this.

The Indian mind isn’t lacking innovation-it’s stuck in survival mode. When your subconscious is wired for “roti, kapda aur makaan,” imagination takes a back seat. Survival first. Innovation later.

You can't make complaints about smart meter installation appointments cancellations, no option on webform @BritishGas Apparently there are technical faults engineers call drops and they cancel appointments leaving the customer waiting. @BritishGasHelp

@sabeer Hard work is not the issue people are generally hardworking. The issue is social norms: when poor behaviour is visible, it becomes normalised and others tend to copy it, reinforcing the pattern through social conformity rather than individual intent.

@PD_Dip How about hard work? If my house is dirty, I clean it myself. I don’t blame it on the cleaning staff (which comes once a week). I don’t place it on status.

My friend visited Sri Lanka and loved it. Tourism in Sri Lanka is in the rise while in India it is on the decline. I wonder why?

@sabeer Part of the reason may lie in deeply rooted social hierarchies that place too much value on status and too little on humility and mutual respect.

@PD_Dip Why is India not learning this from Sri Lanka? Wouldn’t it be better for tourism?

@TJiMTS HMRC is ridiculously slow in VAT registration. I know a brand applied three times and HMRC keeps rejecting applications for vague reasons. One key point to note this brand sells zero vat items and needs vat registration for trading with mainstream retailers.

A creator hit £95,000 in brand deals. Never registered for VAT. HMRC backdated registration to the month they crossed £90,000. That's 20% VAT on every deal since, out of their own pocket. Here's what you need to know. The VAT threshold is £90,000 of taxable turnover in a rolling 12-month period. Not calendar year, rolling 12 months. Brand deals, sponsorships, affiliate income, paid appearances... it all counts toward the threshold. When you cross it, you must register within 30 days. Miss it, and HMRC backdates it. You owe the VAT on every invoice since you should have registered. The brands won't reimburse you. That's your problem. Track your rolling 12-month turnover. If you're approaching £85k, speak to an accountant before you cross it, not after.

Neuroplasticity means your brain rewires itself based on what you repeatedly think, feel, and do. Neurons that fire together, wire together. Your beliefs aren’t fixed. Your identity isn’t static. You are not just using your brain - you are building it. 🧠

There’s a massive transformation underway. Outsourcing giants like Infosys and Wipro were caught flat-footed by the AI wave. The same applies to individuals. Reinvent or become irrelevant. 2 years ago I didn’t know what an influencer was. Today, I am one.

@prakdadlani MOQ problems exist across Indian manufacturing because suppliers stick to make‑to‑order. If they move to make‑to‑stock, someone has to bankroll that inventory. At the end of the day, it's just risk vs confidence. Competition vs Collaboration.

India needs an Alibaba for manufacturing 🇮🇳 Try sourcing metal, plastic, PCB, fixtures, or cables locally and you’ll hear: “MOQ too high.” “Come back when you’re bigger.” “No time for startups.” Meanwhile on Alibaba: → Competitive pricing → Startup-friendly suppliers → Fast responses → Clear specs & samples Indiamart isn’t enough. Discovery ≠ willingness to work with founders. If India wants to be a real manufacturing hub, supplier access for startups can’t be this broken. Founders shouldn’t have to go global to build local.

Can someone give advice on the prompt for illustration of the car with a driver in Hindustan Ambassador , @ChatGPTapp , @grok both creating images with the driver on the wrong side. Cars in India are right hand drive, drivers should appear on the left of the image.

China vs India: action vs talk. China: - They build fast - They learn the skill - They fix things quick - Everyone works together - Workers know the craft - They spend on new ideas - Speed is normal Bharat: - We plan too long - We want big titles - We change slow - Everyone works alone - Workers don’t get respect - We fear spending on ideas - Talk is normal Lesson: Do more. Talk less. Build every day.

@sabeer Feedback loop - Honest political parties can cultivate a more honest society by promoting civic education, enforcing anticorruption laws, and modeling ethical leadership. - Dishonest parties can erode societal trust, normalize corruption, and weaken democratic norms.

Someone on social media asked which of the four parties—BJP, INC, TMC, or DMK—is most corrupt. My answer: Indian politics is a two-faced circus. All parties are corrupt, needing business funding to win. In power, they favor their benefactors, perpetuating corruption. A new "Honest Party" that rejects business money could break this cycle permanently.

@PD_Dip @sabeer The latest available data from the Bank for International Settlements (Q4 2024) shows the UK's household debt-to-GDP ratio at 76.3%, compared to India's at 41.9%. The UK's is higher. Some reports indicate India's ratio rose to around 48% in Q1 2025, still lower than the UK's.
