It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our brother and long‑term GMB activist, Geoff Burrow. Geoff was a dedicated campaigner in Rugby League, a tireless representative for our members, and a key force behind our TUC‑funded learning and skills network, laying the foundations for today’s Rugby League players’ learning and welfare programme. Many will also know Geoff from his unwavering support for his son Rob through his battle with MND. He worked relentlessly to raise awareness and champion MND causes. As our Sports Branch Secretary and a passionate advocate for fairness, Geoff will be deeply missed and forever valued within our GMB family. Our sincere condolences go to his wife Irene and the Burrow family.
