This is actually an exception in the book, which takes sophisticated steps to portray non-Europeans as clean, civilized, and sophisticated while portraying Europeans as muddy, cruel, barbaric, stuck up, and unjust. Let the reader understand that before the comically absurd sexual egalitarianism was to be adopted in the west, the only slightly less absurd racial egalitarianism, or ancestral egalitarianism if you like, had to be adopted first. No matter how comprehensive the acceptance or for how many generations, both are so absurd to any observation of history and nature that we need to be propagandized constantly to even think them plausible.

I am beyond furious at what these women have been through. ANYONE who knew must feel the full brutal force of the law. I make no apologies for that. WHATSOEVER. On Boomer Anthropology: One reason why any frank discussion of race or racism gets nowhere, especially with Christian boomers, is that the world has been so thoroughly anglicized that boomers think to be human is to be an Englishman. Or at the very least, to be human is to have the capacity to be an Englishman. Applied to Christianity, which also has been so anglicized in the West, most American and English pastors cannot conceive of Christianity expressing itself as anything different than Anglo-Saxon Protestantism. To be Christian is to be an English Protestant (or *maybe* Lutheran). In the mind of the boomer pastor, everyone is exactly like him (an English Protestant) or at least has the capacity to be like him. They conceive of different races as just Englishmen who happen to have a different shade of skin. So when a young guy says something very obvious like “an Indian can never be an Englishman or vice versa” the boomer cries racism. This is because in his mind, saying that the Indian is not English is the same as saying the Indian is not a human being. Likewise when the boomer pastor hears a young man say an “Indian can’t be English” he hears that the Indian cannot be saved. He hears that the Indian does not have the capacity to receive the regenerative work of the Holy Ghost. This of course is a great heresy. It’s ethnic vainglory. Reformed pastors in particular are guilty of this mode of thinking. Reformed denominations already self-select for people with higher levels of education and intellect. Combined with the fact that higher levels of sanctification typically coincide with higher levels of theological understanding, there’s a subtle, unstated belief that a high level of theological understanding is required not just for sanctification but for salvation as well. Of course no one would say this out loud, and all would deny it if pressed, but that subtle belief remains. This subtle belief dovetails right into the assumption that “every man’s an Englishman”. Only now, the reformed pastor has a theological presupposition that all men, of all races, must in fact have the capacity to understand complex theological concepts in the same depth that they do. Any evidence to the contrary is a priori rejected and a priori heretical to espouse. This results in the invention of gnostic ascetic absurdities where one’s spiritual condition is the only factor that matters as the basis for a shared polity. But the world is a complex place. While exceptions exist everywhere, patterns are recognizable at scale between ethnicities and nationalities- and these patterns have implications on policy. Christianity in Japan expresses itself differently than Coptic Christianity and both are different than English Protestantism. God has seen fit to call men from every tribe and tongue and nation and the way the Faith Once Given is expressed has variance in accordance with that. God be praised for this.
