The recent case involving the Haftar family and an Irish private company showed how cash-rich Libyan leaders are often tempted to hire foreign private firms to train elite Libyan units. In this particular instance, a South African company refused to conduct the training in Libya and insisted that the 95 trainees come to White River, which resulted in a police raid. The eastern Libyan government has acknowledged that the 95 Libyans involved had been sent from Benghazi. Probably linked to Khaled Haftar.
