Thinking environmental protection is not essential imperils public health. Air & water quality (including tobacco control & nitrates in drinking water), food security, soil health to sustain food quality, climate action to ensure affordable food, = essential for developed society

In NZ we smugly think our air quality is OK. Wrong answer! Being predominantly coastal we just have more wind than most. Locally, poor air quality impacts asthma and heart disease. Note, if we do better, the planet wins too.
