Felicitation of the First Batch of Women Learners from Chaudhary Ajit Singh Centre of Excellence for Design and Fashion Technology, Baghpat The first batch of 50 women learners from the Centre was felicitated during the event, marking an important milestone in their journey towards industry-ready skills and employment opportunities. Through advanced training in the Sewing Machine Operator job role, the learners gained hands-on experience with modern sewing technologies, industry practices, quality standards, and workplace skills. The MoU exchange for the Skills Outcomes Fund marks a transformative step towards an outcome-driven skilling ecosystem that links training with meaningful employment and sustainable livelihoods. With a proposed corpus of ₹530 crore, the Fund brings together government support, CSR investments, and philanthropic capital to expand opportunities for India’s youth. Anchored by NSDC under the aegis of MSDE, the initiative will support over 2 lakh young people through industry-aligned skilling, employment, and livelihood pathways. The Fund will also serve as a platform for piloting innovative solutions, including skill vouchers, skills financing mechanisms, and entrepreneurship-led models, while fostering greater accountability, innovation, and industry participation. The IndiaSkills 2026–28 Guidelines have been launched, strengthening India’s skill competition architecture. Drawing on insights from the previous cycles, the guidelines introduce a sharper competition framework, refined protocols and a structured training pathway. The miniature of "Skilled India, Empowered India – A Collective Growth Story", the sculpture proposed to be installed at Kaushal Bhawan, was inaugurated by Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Hon'ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education, Government of India. Inspired by the vision of the Skill India Mission, the sculpture celebrates the contributions of India's skilled workforce from artisans and craftspeople preserving our rich heritage to innovators, professionals, entrepreneurs, and young learners shaping the future. The interconnected figures symbolise collaboration, the dignity of labour, and the collective strength of skills in driving India's growth journey.
